Sea The Stars colt who made a promising start to his career last autumn, showing useful form when second in 1m Newmarket maiden (good) latterly. Bred to be suited by this trip. Should be more to come and can win races in 2026.

475,000 gns Night of Thunder colt who shaped encouragingly in a warm-looking maiden at Kempton (1m) on debut 37 days ago. Up in trip. Another in this line-up who should have more to offer.

Beaten at short odds both starts but has displayed plenty of promise, latterly finishing 2 lengths second to a smart prospect in maiden at Leicester (1¼m, good to firm) 20 days ago. Capable of better again.

110,000 gns Camelot colt. Half-brother to useful 2-y-o 9f winner Hippodrome. Will need to be very useful to make a winning start to his career here and Echo of Stars the owner first string unless the betting strongly suggests otherwise.

4/1, seventh of 10 in maiden at Newmarket (1m, good to firm) on debut 29 days ago but the fact he was prominent in the betting suggests better was anticipated. Up in trip.

Frankel colt. Dam winner up to 1m (2-y-o 7f winner), won Prix de la Grotte and second in Prix Maurice de Gheest. Newcomer from a top stable in good form. Interesting to see what the betting makes of him.

Forecasts

Echo Of Stars (11/4), Tropbien (7/2), Heyzoom (4/1), Knight Of Storms (6/1), Besieged (6/1), Tambora (10/1), North Beach (25/1), Salgados (25/1), Electric Dreams (25/1), Round The Table (33/1), Brocklesby Bill (66/1)

Verdict

This looks a strong maiden. ECHO OF STARS showed useful form when runner-up at Newmarket last autumn and gets the vote but Besieged and Heyzoom have also shown significant promise, while Tropbien is a well-bred newcomer from a leading stable which has been mopping up in similar races this spring.
