7/1, attracted support and shaped well when beaten just a length in 11-runner Cork (5f, heavy) maiden on debut a fortnight ago, no match for last year's Queen Mary fourth. Bred to be useful and seems sure to improve.

Just fair form at best in 8 runs last year, placed on 3 occasions (went close under inexperienced jockey at Navan in September). Probably going to have to improve to make a successful return but that's certainly possible given connections.

Fair form last year, placed twice at Dundalk. 6f looks her trip and she returns with her yard in great form, but she's probably vulnerable.

Well beaten at Cork (7f) but had shaped with promise over 1m at Naas on debut just a fortnight earlier. This drop to sprinting probably not what she wants.

€30,000 3-y-o, Dark Angel filly. Sister to 3 winners, including useful winners up to 1m Melesina and Sir Tommy Cen. Dam, 13f-17f winner, also won over hurdles. Mixed pedigree and suspect she'll be better for the run.

Verdict

STARMAN TOM made a bright start at Cork behind last year's Queen Mary fourth and makes plenty of appeal with improvement expected up in trip. Ragaire is an appealing newcomer for a good yard having fetched 400,000 guineas as a yearling. The well-bred Thenandnow and Cactus weren't progressing when last seen but represent leading connections and could yet find races.
