Close third in a C&D fillies handicap last season and needs considering with sights lowered, having finished well beaten in listed company at Longchamp in October.
Respectable sixth of 15 in a handicap at Leicester on final start last season and while he's the type who needs plenty to fall right, his record when fresh at least offers some hope.
Went close to notching his third career success at Musselburgh in November and ought to be competitive in similar company, provided he's ready to roll.
Possible excuses both starts since winning a competitive York handicap, though doesn't look obviously well handicapped.
In peak form with 2 Carlisle wins/close Beverley second last autumn and best not judged too harshly on final start of the season at Southwell in October.
Backed up his much-improved Ayr success when chasing home an unexposed 3-y-o at Leicester on latest start in October, for all this previous course winner has previously needed his reappearance run.
Looked a good buy at 20,000 gns out of the Ed Walker yard when making a successful stable debut at Doncaster last time and this low-mileage 4-y-o can go well again off 5 lb higher.
Backed up his York win with plenty of creditable efforts last year and showed plenty on his Doncaster reappearance (going well when denied a clear run final furlong) to suggest a bold show could be in the offing.
Very lightly raced since Haydock debut win, making it consecutive seconds in handicaps on final start for Charlie Hills at Southwell in October 2024. Has been gelded since being sold for 30,000 gns last year and remains open to improvement (in first-time hood) on debut for yard in top form.
Signed off last season with a much-improved success at Pontefract in October, his fourth since joining current yard, and he shaped as though retaining all of that ability when sixth of 11 on his return at Newcastle.
Ran just about as well as he has when runner-up behind U Sure Do at Catterick before getting going too late in a better race on the all-weather later in October. Interesting if firing on all cylinders for his return.
Underlined a solid start for Rogel Teal when third (clear of rest) in a 9-runner handicap at Pontefract last time and has claims if building on that with headgear on first time since joining current yard.
Unable to back up his C&D win (soft) when down the field in a Catterick handicap last October and while still relatively early days, he'll need a bit more upped in grade.

Forecasts
Murashah (9/4), City Captain (6/1), Melvin Udall (13/2), U Sure Do (8/1), Leadman (9/1), Alpha Capture (11/1), Woodstock (12/1), Draupnir (14/1), One Night Thunder (14/1), Quest For Fun (16/1), Beaujolais Nouveau (20/1), Count Palatine (25/1), Frankies Dream (33/1)
A case can be made for plenty, but Ed Bethell has his string in fine order and unexposed MURASHAH may defy an absence to make a winning start for the yard. There was plenty of encouragement in Quest For Fun's reappearance, and he's a notable danger along with Woodstock, who was knocking on the door last season.
