Without a win since 2024 but he ended last term with a couple of solid efforts (in a visor) in 6f handicaps at Pontefract and Newcastle for Richard Fahey. Shaped as if needing last month's reappearance for new yard at Doncaster and this can reveal more.

Lightly-raced 4-y-o who continued theme of race-by-race progress when off the mark in 4-runner Wolverhampton novice (6f) in February. That wasn't a strong race by any means but respected nevertheless from what looks a fair opening mark on turf/handicap debut.

Tasted success 4 times over 5f last year, latterly at Hamilton in August. Form tailed off thereafter but showed up well for a long way after 6 months off when seventh in a C&D handicap last week. That ought to have blown the cobwebs away and she's now 2 lb below last winning mark.

Posted a career-best effort in refitted tongue tie when doubling career tally at Newcastle (5f) in January. Never on terms following a tardy start back there a month later and he's no forlorn hope back on turf.

Opened his account at Southwell (5f) in December and held form well in defeat on all-weather since. Not at best when mid-field in 21-runner handicap at Doncaster 3 weeks ago and he now steps back up in trip.

Dual 6f scorer who was equipped with cheekpieces (in place of blinkers) after 3 months off and looked unlucky not to collect when second in a C&D handicap 8 days ago, just failing having been short of room. Danger to all if arriving in same form nudged up 1 lb.

Back to winning ways at Hamilton (5f) in September and returned with a creditable fourth over the same trip at Doncaster in March. No easy task from a low draw at Musselburgh (5f) 6 days ago and potentially well housed in stall 18 on this occasion. Possibilities.

Four-time winner for Ed Bethell who has stepped up a little on each of his all-weather runs of late, weakening only late on when fourth at Newcastle (6f) 3 weeks ago. Not one to write off from steadily easing mark.

Comes here on a long losing run but went close on 2 occasions from higher marks last season. Below best on final start at Catterick in October but he's performed well fresh previously and this trip is within range. Not discounted.

Fair maiden who changed hands for 30,000 gns and still looked to be finding his feet in 2 all-weather runs for new yard over the winter. However, unexposed over sprint trips and no surprise were they to find the key to him. One to monitor in the betting for a positive move.

Sprint maiden winner in Ireland for Jim Bolger. Yet to scale same heights for present stable but did at least fare better than he had on all-weather when fifth at Pontefract (5f) 11 days ago. Returns to 6f now but others rate more solid.

Hamilton specialist who added 3 more wins there last year. Disappointing end to the season but step back in right direction after 5 months off when second at Pontefract (5f, soft) 11 days ago. Again goes without usual headgear but she's certainly lurking on a handy mark.

Losing run mounting up and again played only a minor role when ninth of 11 in handicap at Newcastle (7f) 3 weeks ago. Eased a little more in weights returned to turf but others more persuasive.

Breakthrough Newcastle win was his first start over 5f and excuses back there having been denied a run over 1f out next time. Not disgraced when fourth at Southwell last week and he's an each-way player back on turf.

Doubled career tally at Doncaster (5f) in June prior to a good third at Beverley later that month. Down the field on final 3 starts but had excuses on account of soft ground at Pontefract in October. Cheekpieces back on returning for in-form new yard and booking of Hollie Doyle catches the eye.

Forecasts

Stirrup Cup (7/2), Yes I'm Mali (13/2), Kings Merchant (15/2), Mr Dreamseller (8/1), Knicks (9/1), Lord Abama (9/1), Pal Joey (12/1), Ay Gee Ell (14/1), Impressor (14/1), Ashen (16/1), Sherlock (18/1), Taygar (18/1), Brave Empire (18/1), Solar Biricz (18/1), Iris Dancer (25/1), Hurt You Never (33/1), One More Dream (33/1), Monotone (40/1)

Verdict

MR DREAMSELLER continued his theme of race-by-race progress when opening his account in a Wolverhampton novice in February and, now handicapping from what looks a workable mark, he's fancied to go well provided he proves as effective on turf. Stirrup Cup was an unlucky loser on his reappearance over C&D 8 days ago and he's a danger if arriving in the same form. Impressor, Pal Joey and the returning Knicks round off the shortlist.
