Thriving 7-y-o gelding that completed a hat-trick of handicap chase wins at Carlisle (by 2 lengths from Tory Hill, jumping accurately) earlier this month. Up another 5 lb and return to a left-handed track isn't ideal given his tendency to jump right, but no others arrive in such rich form.
Notched second success over fences when opening account for present yard at Catterick in November. Excellent second at same course in January but form has dipped since, adding to what has developed into a patchy record when well held at Bangor last month.
Confirmed return to form when 3 lengths second of 10 to Three Zambezi's in handicap at Bangor last month. Repeat of that effort puts him firmly in the mix, but he's 0-18 now and it remains to be seen how well this stiff track will suit.
Cost £78,000 after finishing third in an Irish point and showed improved form stepped up in trip on handicap hurdle debut at Southwell (conditionals event, 5 lengths third of 7 to Raby Mere) last time. Still has more to offer and yard boasts a decent record with chasing debutants. Interesting.
Won over hurdles in Ireland a couple of years back and responded well to the addition of cheekpieces when runner-up in handicap chase here in November. However, he's been well below that form since and cracked a long way out at this track last month. Wears first-time blinkers/tongue strap.
Runner-up on second of 3 starts in Irish points, but went with very little promise over hurdles, including upped in trip on handicap debut last time. Needs to improve markedly for the switch to chasing. Wears first-time cheekpieces.
Dual course winner, who posted respectable efforts when twice in frame here earlier this season. That's as good as it's got this season, though, and he has hardly shaped like a winner in waiting tackling hurdles on his last 2 starts.
Very hard to catch right and having scored over 3m at this course last season, he's typically been more miss than hit since, again racing indolently when pulling up for the third consecutive start back here last time.
Maiden hurdler, who shaped better than on chasing debut when 31 lengths second of 2 finishers to Scottish King in 10-runner novice handicap at this course in March. That still leaves him with plenty to find with some of these, however.
Plugged on to fill the frame twice over fences to end 2025 but he's still a maiden and his latest effort at Newcastle hardly suggested he's ready to break his duck. Has had a breathing operation.
Went close on third start between the flags back in May 2024 and, having had a breathing operation, shaped much better than being pulled up suggests in novice handicap won by Scottish King at this course on chasing bow (still second 3 out). He's entitled to improve on that but has stamina to prove.
In frame twice over hurdles and close second when falling heavily 3 out in novice handicap won by Scottish King at this course on chasing debut, That hadn't been his first mistake, however, and he'll need to have brushed up his jumping if he's to pose a threat here. Wears first-time cheekpieces.
Best effort this season when nailed close home at this course last May but not in the same form since and this veteran hasn't won a race since November 2020. Races from 7 lb out of the handicap.
Dual hurdles winner back in 2023 but he's a long-standing maiden in this sphere and looks up against it once more from well out of the handicap.
