Lightly-raced winner. Successful here in December. 5/1, creditable third of 9 in handicap at Chelmsford City (10f) 11 days ago, slowly away. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Enters calculations.
6/5, career best when winning 7-runner handicap at this course (8.6f) 3 days ago, easily. Obvious claims turned out quickly under a penalty.
Course winner. 25/1, last of 6 in handicap at Lingfield (8f, AW) 26 days ago. Booking of Morris a plus but he's not particularly appealing otherwise.
Reluctant individual. C&D winner. Latest win here in December. Creditable second of 9 in handicap (14/1) at Chelmsford City (10f) 11 days ago, barely adequate test. One to consider.
Course winner. Ten wins from 36 Flat runs, the latest at Southwell earlier this month. Fifth of 8 in handicap at Lingfield (12f, AW, 4/1) 16 days ago. Down in trip and looks vulnerable.
Four-time course winner. Fourteen runs since last win in 2024. 11/1, last of 10 in handicap at this course (8.6f) 62 days ago. Others preferred.
Twenty three runs since last win in 2022. 13/8, excellent second of 12 in handicap at Kempton (8f) 40 days ago. Others make more appeal for win purposes.
Latest win at Newcastle in December. 10/3, respectable fifth of 11 in handicap at Newcastle (10.2f) 6 days ago. Couldn't rule out.
Winner at Leicester in July. First run since leaving George Scott when 6½ lengths seventh of 9 to Monty Beau in handicap at this course (8.6f, 16/1) 42 days ago, slowly away. Opposable.
17/2, creditable third of 11 in handicap at Newcastle (8f) 16 days ago and each-way claims off 1 lb lower here.

Forecasts
Eupator (11/8), Eagle Day (7/2), Monty Beau (13/2), Oman (8/1), Golspie (8/1), Tortured Soul (9/1), Rhythm N Rock (20/1), Starliner (25/1), Moby Quick (66/1), Great Blasket (66/1)
This quick turnaround is unlikely to faze EUPATOR given that he barely broke sweat when scoring here on Friday and Richard Hannon's charge is taken to repeat the dose under a penalty. Low-mileage 5-y-o Monty Beau hasn't done a great deal wrong in his career to date and he will be a danger to all if the first-time cheekpieces have the desired effect. Oman is best of the rest, with Golspie and Starliner also shortlisted as plausible each-way candidates.
