Looked most progressive when winning an 8-runner handicap hurdle over 2m here in November. Wasn't beaten far when unable to find a turn of pace on better ground at Leopardstown (2m) last time and may resume progress now upped in distance.

Found improvement when chasing home a subsequent winner at Navan (2m, heavy) last month and wasn't seen to best effect when fifth of 12 in handicap hurdle (6/1) at this course (19.2f, good to soft) 11 days ago. Worth another chance to confirm Navan promise.

Veteran is better known as a chaser and ran no sort of race on reappearance in a hunter chase at Down Royal (24f, good to soft) 16 days ago. Remains to be seen if drop in trip/return to hurdles is what he needs.

5-y-o mare who was on the up when ninth in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham last season but didn't see out longer trip as well as expected here prior to finding 1½m on the Flat too sharp on final start for Joseph O'Brien. First start for new yard and worth another go over this sort of distance.

Improved model this season, hitting the frame for the third consecutive race when runner-up here (19.2f, good to soft) 11 days ago. Still relatively early days and no surprise to see him take another step forward for top yard.

Progressing over hurdles, winning with plenty in hand when successful in a 12-runner handicap hurdle at Thurles (20f, good to soft) 52 days ago. Still low mileage in this sphere and there could be more to come.

Landed gamble on stable debut at Bellewstown (20.5f) in July and back to form when creditable eighth of 23 in handicap hurdle at Leopardstown (20.7f, good, 11/2) 14 days ago. This looks his optimum trip and he should remain competitive.

Fairly useful at best for Gary & Josh Moore. Shaped as if better with for the run with tongue tie refitted when third of 10 in handicap hurdle (17/2) at Tramore (16.8f, soft) on stable debut 10 days ago. Remains to be seen if he can build on that back up in trip.

Fairly useful in bumpers and showed promise to hit the frame in pair of maiden hurdles last season. Shaped better the result on reappearance at Limerick last month and is open to improvement now handicapping over a longer trip.

Has returned in excellent heart, narrowly denied a handicap hurdle double at Cork last month prior to enhancing his fine Limerick record when landing a 14-runner handicap chase (17.6f, heavy, 9/5) 16 days ago, kept up to work. Should give another good account back over hurdles.

Won 2½m mares handicap hurdles on handicap bow at Kilbeggan last April. Yet to make an impact this season, fifth over 2m at Thurles latest but may be closer to form back over this sort of trip.

Won maiden hurdle at Tipperary in November 2024 and got back on track when second of 17 in handicap hurdle (14/1) at Leopardstown (16f, good to soft), keeping on well behind an improver. Off 10 months but worth another go over 2½m, providing the ground isn't too testing.

Caught the eye of stewards when finishing with running left at Thurles over 2m on penultimate start. Dropped out/never involved on qualifying run latest and he's one to be interested in now handicapping.

Second in strong mares' listed handicap hurdle at Leopardstown (18f, good to soft) last season. Step back in the right direction (effectively her reappearance) when third of 7 in handicap hurdle at Cork (20f, good to soft) 8 days ago. Now 3 lb lower and makes plenty of appeal on her best form.

Lightly-raced and steadily improving, seemingly suited by softer ground when winning 9-runner handicap hurdle (16/1) at Gowran (20.2f, soft) in October. Merits respect on his return.

Verdict

In an ultra-competitive handicap, it could pay to side with KIMY who finished second in a strong listed mares handicap last season and took a step back in the right direction last time. Theflyingbee looks worth another chance to confirm the promise of her Navan second, while it would be no surprise to see Powerful resume progress now tackling 2½m. Of the rest, Moon Mission, Olympy De Cerisy and Plunkett Street all have scope for improvement.
