Preference is for VIRTUE PATIENCE, who followed his maiden success here last spring by going close on his handicap bow at Kempton. Things haven't gone entirely to plan since but he has quickly slipped to a potentially handy mark (now 5 lb below the mark of that Kempton near-miss) and he shaped encouragingly back from a break/wind op when fifth of 10 over C&D last month. The veteran Repertoire has also come down the weights and is next on the list ahead of Pitney.
