Twice-raced maiden. 5/1, third of 7 in novice at Newcastle (8f) 16 days ago. Yard also saddles newcomer Molly O'Mally and it will be interesting to see how they compare in the betting.

Once-raced maiden. 40/1, fourth of 11 in novice at Newmarket (7f, good) on debut 33 days ago. Should improve with that run under her belt and she's not without each-way hope.

Foaled March 11. Nando Parrado filly. Dam unraced out of once-raced half-sister to very smart 6f winner Greek Renaissance and smart 1¼m-1½m winner Sir John Hawkwood. Watch the betting for clues.

Foaled March 27. 250,000 gns yearling, St Mark's Basilica filly. Half-sister to several winners, including high-class winner up to 1½m Best Solution and very smart 2-y-o 7f-1¼m winner El Bodegon. Lots to like on paper and she needs close attention in the betting.

Foaled February 8. Australia filly. Dam, third at 7f, closely related to 7f 2-y-o winner and demoted 1000 Guineas winner Jacqueline Quest, who later became ungenuine. Appealing type on paper, though Venetia is presumably the stable No 1.

Foaled March 24. New Bay filly. Half-sister to 2-y-o 7f/1m winner Commissioning and 1¼m-1½m winner Military Academy, both smart. In top hands and confidence behind her in the betting would look significant.

Promising type. Second of 13 in maiden at Kempton (8f, 11/2) 29 days ago. Open to progress and she should make a bold bid to go one better here.

Forecasts

Venetia (6/5), Capichera (11/4), Symbol Of Majesty (9/2), Cherry Baker (8/1), Molly O'mally (11/1), Siam Ruby (16/1), Blackisthenewblack (25/1), Alice De Clare (33/1), Al Amirah (125/1), Love Me Bae (150/1)

Verdict

Newcomers MOLLY O'MALLY and Symbol of Majesty both look the part on paper and marginal preference is for the former, who fetched 250,000 gns as a yearling and she's related to some classy types. Venetia found just one too good at Kempton last time and is the pick of those with experience, though Capichera showed promise at Newmarket and should do better in time. Venetia's stablemate Siam Ruby is another noteworthy newcomer.
