Won at Southwell and finished close second in a strong handicap for the grade at this course. Fifth of 13 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7/2) 19 days ago, paying the price for a big move into contention. Should have more races in him for this yard.

In fine form earlier this year, including two 2nd places in March but form has dipped. Last of 10 in handicap at Kempton (40/1) 15 days ago, ran poorly. Back below his last winning mark with Jason Watson taking over from an apprentice but still has a bit to prove down significantly in trip.

In better heart of late with consecutive seconds, beaten by a 3-y-o at Southwell before chasing home a well-treated one when finishing second of 12 in handicap at Kempton Park (4/1) 12 days ago when confirming return to form. Should give another good account.

Shaped much better than the result when finishing ninth of 13 in handicap at Wolverhampton (16/1) 19 days ago, denied a run and barely came off the bridle. Market should offer some clues (yard also saddle Tortured Soul) but he looks potentially well-treated if able to build on latest run.

Has won both starts since switching yards, including at Wolverhampton over 9f two weeks ago. Won comfortably in 13-runner handicap at Brighton over 10f (10/3) just 9 days ago, quickening to lead final 1f and finishing well on top. Could make a bold-bid for the hat-trick back at this course.

Won a C&D handicap in March and had remained in decent heart prior to finishing last of 9 in 7f handicap at Ffos Las (10/1) 64 days ago, took strong hold and faded after being pushed along. Has been freshened up for this (has won off a break previously) and has place claims if back on song.

Finished fourth of 7 in handicap at Newcastle (12/1) 23 days ago, tracking pace but unable to quicken in first-time blinkers (now wears cheekpieces). Steps back up in trip with good value claiming jockey aboard for first time but remains to be seen whether he improves.

Inconsistent since April win. Ninth of 14 in handicap at Kempton (40/1) 17 days ago, dwelt at start and raced freely, never threatening. Below winning mark now and worth a check to see if the market expects a better showing.

Has shown consistent form in handicaps and finished 4th of 10 at Bath (11/2) 25 days ago, hampered at start but made headway under pressure. Has 3 C&D wins at Wolverhampton and no surprise to see him give his running again if getting the breaks from the widest stall.

Won on debut but winless in 5 subsequent starts, off 10 weeks prior to finishing sixth of 11 in handicap at Wolverhampton (7/1) 7 days ago, racing off pace before making late headway. Will need to take a step forward to resume winning ways.

Flattering standout effort when second in novice but finished last of 10 on handicap debut at Redcar (150/1) 21 days ago. Back down in trip on first all-weather attempt and remains to be seen if he can recapture earlier promise.

Two-time course winner is without a win for 18 runs but is now on a handy mark. Ran well retried in cheekpieces (retained) when 2nd of 8 in a handicap at Wolverhampton over 7f (3/1) 53 days ago. One for the shortlist stepping back up in trip.

Volto Di Medusa (7/2), Inns Of Fear (9/2), Duca Di Lucca (9/2), Super Hit (6/1), Mc'ted (13/2), Antiquity (8/1), Tortured Soul (12/1), Reddeef (12/1), Eden Storm (16/1), Flatley (18/1), Oman (25/1), King Of Speed (25/1), Token Love (66/1)

Verdict

VOLTO DI MEDUSA split a couple of next-time-out winners when runner-up at this track last month (not seen to best effect here 19 days ago) and he appeals most, while it would be no surprise to see hat-trick seeking Mc'Ted continue his rich vein of form, having won both starts since switching yards. Eden Storm returns to a venue where he's won twice and remains of interest from his current mark.
