Surprise winner (200/1) here on All-Weather Championships Finals Day and ran right up to her best returned to this course this after break, finishing third in back-to-back 6f handicaps. Will need to improve for the step up 1m if she's to resume winning ways.

Solid form with two third-place finishes in summer handicaps, including a competitive Racing League event. Below form on two starts in better company last month (latterly at Goodwood) but makes appeal returning to a flat track in much calmer waters.
Best effort in handicaps when fourth in a 7-runner race at Yarmouth but finished last of 8 in handicap at Sandown over 10f (9/4) 85 days ago, not settling and left behind from 2f out. Can be competitive if recapturing his Yarmouth form following a break/gelding operation.

Won twice over 1m this season on turf. Bounced back from a disappointing run at Redcar (when carrying head awkwardly) to run his best race when second of 13 in handicap at Southwell 14 days ago, losing no caste in defeat to progressive rival. Could be well positioned here and he's one to consider.
Five-time course winner completed a hat-trick at Wolverhampton in February and remained in fine heart subsequently, finishing fourth of 7 in handicap at Newcastle over 10f in March. Back down in trip and entitled to be in the mix if ready to roll on reappearance.
Winless since December 2022 but arrives in form, settled better on second start since blinkers refitted when fourth in a 1m handicap at Redcar earlier this month. Has a fine record (without winning) over this C&D and he should give another good account.
Back to his best in a first-time visor when second in 7-runner handicap at Musselburgh before finishing sixth of 12 in handicap at Newmarket (11/2) 22 days ago, led briefly 2f out before fading after scrimmaging. Best not judged on that run and has place claims on his previous form.
Has shown fairly useful form on turf, running well when 4th at Doncaster in June. Fifth of 12 in handicap at Ayr (11/1) 27 days ago, slowly away and chance effectively ended at the start before making headway late on. Worth another go over 1m but will need to break better from the stalls.

Forecasts
Paladin (15/8), Mr Mistoffelees (7/2), Atlantic Gamble (9/2), Man Of Desert (7/1), Eve's Boy (9/1), Heavenly Heather (10/1), Criminal Shore (12/1), Urban Road (33/1)
A case can be made for most of these, but ATLANTIC GAMBLE should appreciate the return to a flat track after struggling at Goodwood last time and he's taken to capitalise on a drop in class. Mr Mistoffelees is on a long losing run but often goes well over this C&D and he may prove the main danger. Five-time course winner Urban Road was better than ever on the all-weather earlier this year and could be in the mix if the market suggests he's ready to roll following a break.
