Two-time winner of this race went backwards from his reappearance when 5¾ lengths tenth of 15 to Arizona Blaze in Flying Five Stakes at this course (5f, good to soft, 10/1) 14 days ago, slowly away. Needs to improve back over 6f but won't be inconvenienced if the ground softens.
Four-time C&D winner was arguably better than even when second of 23 in handicap at this C&D (good to soft) 14 days ago. Runner-up in this race last year and could make another bold bid.
Built up a fine record winning four of his 8 starts and shaped well when 2¾ lengths third of 13 to Grande Marques in listed race at Tipperary (5f, good to soft) 28 days ago, not ideally placed on the flank and looking like he had more to give at the finish. Looks interesting back over 6f.
Three-time C&D winner (including this race last year). Looked as good as ever when runner-up in back-to-back races here over the summer. Not in the same form under a change of tactics in the Sprint Cup at Haydock earlier this month but has strong claims back down in grade.
Runner-up in a Group 3 in France prior to finishing 6½ lengths ninth of 12 to Bucanero Fuerte in Phoenix Sprint Stakes at this C&D (good to firm) 50 days ago. Seems best with ease in the ground nowadays and could be a player if the forecast rain arrives.
Listed placed as a juvenile and better than he was able to show on handicap debut when twenty first of 23 in handicap at this C&D (good to soft) 14 days ago, hampered and not recover. Lightly-raced for a sprinter but this is much tougher.
Smart colt is twice a winner over 6f on the all-weather. Improved when a head second of 9 to Elmonjed in listed race at York (6f, good to firm, 18/1) 21 days ago. Low mileage and may continue his progression here.
Dual C&D winner as a juvenile. Runner-up in listed company on first 2 starts this year but failed to justify support when well-held in Phoenix Sprint Stakes over C&D 50 days ago, missed break and carried head bit awkwardly. Interesting to see if the money comes again but has something to prove now.
Progressive for Ralph Beckett and made a winning start for this yard in a C&D handicap. Below form when 5¼ lengths eleventh of 18 to Fair Angellica in Sceptre Stakes at Doncaster (7f, good) 14 days ago but could be more competitive returned to sprinting.
Narrowly got the better of My Mate Alfie over C&D in June. Still in good form when 1¾ lengths second of 12 to Sky Majesty in Ballyogan Stakes at Naas (5.9f, good to soft) 35 days ago, left with lot to do. In the mix granted a stronger gallop here.
C&D maiden winner on debut last September (solid form). Improved when second on Naas on comeback prior to finishing 5 lengths seventh of 13 to Grande Marques in listed race at Tipperary (5f, good to soft) 28 days ago, left poorly placed. In deeper waters but still unexposed as a sprinter.

Forecasts
Vespertilio (11/4), My Mate Alfie (3/1), Art Power (11/2), King Cuan (13/2), Spycatcher (9/1), Queen Of Mougins (11/1), Crestofdistinction (12/1), Ides Of March (12/1), Big Gossey (16/1), Fregada (33/1), Bounty (40/1)
MY MATE ALFIE had been shaping encouragingly prior to finding things too hot in the Sprint Cup and he's fancied to make it back-to-back wins in this race. Big Gossey arrives better than ever but may have to settle for second as he did last year, while King Cuan could be the improver having caught the eye over 5f at Tipperary last month.
- Big Gossey16/1
- King Cuan13/2
