Had decent form when 4th at Sandown in July, but finished last of 8 in handicap at Haydock (18/1) 17 days ago, losing position early and dropping away. Needs to bounce back from recent poor efforts.
In winning form having won back-to-back 7f handicaps at Carlisle. Won as 8/11 favourite under a penalty at Carlisle (6.9f) 14 days ago, making all and staying in control. Forced into a higher grade now but can give another good account based on recent form.
Tenth of 14 in Newcastle handicap (28/1) 33 days ago, found out in better company.
Course and distance winner. Three runner-up finishes in handicaps this year. Finished second at Kempton Park 41 days ago, travelling well before fading late. Returns to track where successful in June. Should perform well.
Fairly useful performer with two course and distance wins. Below par seventh of 14 in handicap at Thirsk (9/1) 25 days ago. Form suggest might perform better on softer ground.
Ninth of 11 in 7f handicap at Haydock (12/1) 18 days ago, not getting the rub of the green in first-time cheekpieces. Needs to find improvement from current mark.
Inconsistent form lately, finishing fourth of 12 in handicap at Sandown (28/1) 11 days ago over 10f when racing wide but plugging on. Drops back in trip today.
Won at this C&D in July but finished seventh of 8 in handicap at Haydock (14/1) 17 days ago, rearing at start and weakening late. Returns to a track where boasts two previous C&D wins.
C&D winner in April who has run below form since, including when 11th of 16 at York (14/1) 16 days ago. Wears blinkers for the first time today.
Won a 7f handicap at Newmarket (9/1) before finishing last of 10 at York (20/1) 16 days ago.
Won 3 of last 4 starts on soft or heavy ground. First of 6 in handicap at Epsom (9/2) over 8.5f on soft going 12 days ago, responding well when pushed along. Clearly at home when the mud is flying.
Won twice over 7.4f at this course in summer. Eighth of 9 in handicap here (5/2) 24 days ago, likely ran too soon after previous race as per report. Drop to 7f represents an unknown factor.
Inconsistent performer this season, finishing 12th of 16 at York (7.9f, 33/1) 16 days ago. Has not won for 18 races and has plenty to prove at present.

ONE NIGHT THUNDER arrives in peak form after back-to-back victories at Carlisle, making all in his most recent success. Though stepping up in grade, his current form makes him a lively contender. A War Eagle, with three runner-up finishes this year, returns to the track where successful in June. Mysteryofthesands, a two-time C&D winner, needs to bounce back from a disappointing run at Haydock.
