Zarak colt shaped well when sixth of 9 in novice at Kempton (7f, 6/4) on debut 23 days ago, slowly away and running green. Clearly thought capable of much better and not one to rule out.

Fairly useful colt. Only sixth of 7 in Prix Francois Boutin at Deauville (7f, good) 26 days ago but holds leading form claims back in these much calmer waters.

Forecasts

Evanesco (4/5), Hell Yeah He Did (4/1), Morven (9/2), Sayedaati Saadati (8/1), Hard To Believe (10/1), Boilermaker (12/1), Night Patrol (14/1), Maskatto (14/1), Corduroy (80/1), Chapman's Peak (100/1), Ethereal Charm (150/1), Fletcher (150/1)

Verdict

Charlie Johnston's EVANESCO found a Group 3 event at Deauville too much last time but this fairly useful colt looks to have found a very good opportunity to get off the mark unless one of the debutants prove well out of the ordindary. Andrew Balding's Hard To Believe could prove the pick of those, although Ralph Beckett's duo Hell Yeah He Did and Morven both command lots of respect too.
