Respectable fourth of 13 in handicap (4/1) at Salisbury (6f, good to firm) 42 days ago. Return to this trip looks a good move and now 2 lb lower, so he's well worth a second look on debut for new yard.

Successful at Kempton in February, but she hasn't been seeing her races out particularly well since, most recently trailing in last of 7 in handicap at Lingfield (7f, good to firm, 7/2) 24 days ago. Back down to last winning mark, but others preferred all the same.

12/1 and blinkered for 1st time, seventh of 9 in handicap at Brighton (7f, good to firm) 21 days ago. Far too keen on that occasion, but perhaps she'll be more tractable in the headgear at the second attempt and her mark continues on the slide.

11/1, bit below form fourth of 10 in handicap at Lingfield (7.6f, heavy) 45 days ago, not for the first time shaping better than the bare result. Down another 2 lb and each-way chance if taking to this surface.

Respectable eighth of 13 in handicap at this course (8.6f, 125/1) 29 days ago, but there wasn't enough in that to suggest he'll be winning this, despite dropping another 3 lb.

Winner here in May. 4/1, sixth of 8 in handicap at Kempton (7f) 27 days ago, doing too much too soon. Probably best to overlook that and it wouldn't be much of a surprise were she to bounce back with a bold show now tried in cheekpieces.

C&D winner. 7/1, fifth of 8 in handicap at Kempton (7f) 27 days ago, racing closer to pace than ideal. Down to a reasonable mark and he could have a part to play if he puts his best foot forward.

Ninth of 13 in handicap at Windsor (8.1f, good to firm, 7/2) 22 days ago, slowly away. Needs to get back on track now equipped with a hood for the first time.

Lightly-raced maiden. 66/1, fifth of 11 in handicap at Goodwood (7f, good) 46 days ago. Though that wasn't a bad effort, it still wasn't enough to make her of interest here from a win perspective.

BLUE EMPRESS and Amber Honey both need to bounce back following comprehensive last-time-out defeats, but pretty much all of these have a bit to prove for one reason or another and, having slipped to a very attractive mark, Blue Empress earns the vote. Indeed, she was placed off significantly higher marks in back-to-back C&D handicaps during the spring and will hopefully settle better than she did at Brighton last time. Previous course winner Amber Honey is second choice ahead of Dandy G Boy.
