Veteran who scored twice over hurdles Dan Skelton in 2022. Won 5 times in points between April and June last year but limited impact back under Rules since.

Hurdles/chase winner for Henry De Bromhead. No show final 3 runs for that yard in 2024 but starting out for another new yard, he cashed in on a reduced mark in 6-runner handicap chase at Stratford a week ago. First hurdles start since 2021 but has same rating to exploit.
Often travels strongly but jumping can let him down. Avoided mistakes when off the mark at Ffos Las (23.9f) a year ago and bounced back to form when a creditable fourth in a big-field handicap at Doncaster (24.4f) in January. Picked up where he left off when second at Worcester.
Runner-up sole start in Irish points and stepped up on low-key Rules debut when fourth starting out over hurdles at Wincanton (19.8f, soft) in December. Tongue tied on the back of a breathing op and justified strong support in 21.6f novice here 3 weeks ago. More to come handicapping up in trip.
Doesn't stand a great deal of racing but he's pretty consistent when he does make it to the track, finding only one too good on last 4 outings (visored last twice). Same mark here so seems sure to give it a good go.
Didn't progress from a promising debut run in maiden/novice hurdles but back on track after 10 weeks off when second of 6 in a Ffos Las handicap last month (3m). Shaped like a real stayer back there last time so well worth a go at this trip.
Temperamental sort who capitalised on his falling handicap mark (after 7 months off) in 7-runner handicap at Stratford (26.4f) in April. Typically failed to back that up since, albeit a very slowly-run race over C&D was against him last time.
Still a maiden but has placed in a couple of handicaps, most recently when third over C&D in a stronger race than he need contest (following 9 months off/breathing operation). One to consider back down slightly in class and back up in distance.
Capitalised on reduced mark at Fontwell) in May 2024. Ended year in reasonable nick but probably vulnerable from out of the weights on return to action.
Looks very limited these days and is a long way out of the handicap.

Forecasts
Keel Strand (9/4), Borderline (10/3), Spitalfield (6/1), Gateau De Miel (7/1), Dear Ralphy (8/1), Danzini (9/1), Jack's Jury (11/1), Presenting Yeats (22/1), Pirates' Tale (25/1), Dorrells Pierji (28/1), I Love You Sivola (66/1)
KEEL STRAND has to prove his stamina over this trip but this is the track to attempt it and representing a leading yard, he boasts far more potential than his rivals. Gateau de Miel won a handicap chase from this mark a week ago so he's dangerous, with Dear Ralphy likely to give it another good go.
