Won twice in 2024 and ran well on form when fourth of 13 in 7f handicap at Chester (good) a fortnight ago. Likely to give another good account.
Course winner who ran better than last time when seventh of 11 in handicap at Haydock (8.2f, good to firm) 21 days ago. Visor back on. Must raise his game further.
Ended a losing sequence with victory in 5-runner handicap at Windsor (6f, good) in May and proved better than ever back at 7f when following up at Goodwood last time. This is tougher but clearly arrives in top form.
Developed into a useful handicapper for Roger Varian in 2024, recording a clear-cut success at Haydock last June. Better than he was able to show on return/debut for new connections (sold for 110,000 gns) in the Lincoln and bounced back to his best when second at Haydock 3 weeks ago. Respected.
Recorded a third victory of the year at Musselburgh (7f) in April. Seemingly found out by a 5 lb higher mark in a deeper handicap at Thirsk last time, though.
C&D winner who shaped as if back in form in a first-time hood when seventh of 13 in handicap (14/1) at Chester (7f, good) 14 days ago. Remains 2 lb above last successful mark.
22/1, not seen to best effect when ninth of 14 in handicap at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) 7 days ago, slowly away. Tongue strap on 1st time and has dipped below last winning mark.
Proved better than ever when winning 15-runner handicap at Chelmsford City (7f, 2/1) 13 days ago. No reason why he shouldn't translate that back to turf.
C&D winner who wasn't seen to best effect from a wide draw when third of 8 in handicap at Redcar (6f, good to firm) 19 days ago. Better judged on previous form and he's another who can't be dismissed lightly.
3-time C&D winner. Creditable second of 11 in handicap (7/2) at this C&D (good to firm) 1 day ago, missing break. Has to be taken seriously.
Useful-looking gelding who again ran well when fourth of 8 in handicap at Newcastle (6f, 12/1), well positioned. Off 142 days. First run for yard after leaving Iain Jardine.
2 wins from 6 runs this year and ran another sound race when sixth of 12 in handicap at Haydock (8.2f, good to firm) 21 days ago, finding test too much. Should remain competitive back down in trip.
Gelded/first run since leaving Seb Spencer when good winner of 7-runner handicap at Catterick (6f) in April. Improved further when just touched off at Ripon (6f) before failing to see things out back at this trip in first-time cheekpieces over C&D. Blinkers now the choice of headgear.

Humam (11/2), Tolstoy (11/2), Diligent Resdev (6/1), Palmar Bay (6/1), Dashing Darcey (7/1), Havana Pusey (8/1), Blue For You (9/1), Aalto (12/1), Yanifer (14/1), Little Empire (14/1), Green Pursuit (16/1), Glenfinnan (20/1), Telemark (22/1), Our Havana (22/1), Modern Times (33/1)
Last year’s winner TOLSTOY was second here on Friday and could be worth chancing back at this venue (completed a C&D hat-trick in 2024) having been cut further slack by the assessor. Recent Ayr winner Little Empire is not yet fully exposed and needs considering, along with Dashing Darcey, who bounced back to his best on just his second outing for current yard at Haydock last time.
