(16)

Star Harbour^v¹¹

Age: 7| Weight: 9-5| J: Adam Caffrey| T: A McGuinness| OR: 99| C

33/1

Course winner. 18/1, good third of 19 in handicap at this course (10f, good) 11 days ago. Significantly back up in trip, which is probably on the limit of his stamina but he's a likeable type.

Form: 5-76943

(14)

Falcon Eight⁶³

Age: 10| Weight: 9-3| J: Billy Lee| T: D K Weld| OR: 97| C| D

22/1

Unreliable individual. Didn't need to be at best when winning 8-runner minor event (16/1) at Gowran (14f, good to soft) 63 days ago, having benefit of enterprising ride. Not sure to be in the same mood this time.

Form: 0047-41

(12)

Helvic Dream^t³⁶

Age: 8| Weight: 9-3| J: Dylan Browne McMonagle| T: N Meade| OR: 97| C

25/1

Course winner. 12/1, creditable fifth of 17 in handicap hurdle at Punchestown (16.7f, good to soft) 36 days ago. Useful on the Flat and that run should have put him spot on for this.

Form: 12/553-6

(11)

Taipan^p⁶³

Age: 7| Weight: 9-3| J: Shane Foley| T: Mrs J Harrington| OR: 97| D

20/1

11/2, good 1¼ lengths third of 8 to Falcon Eight in minor event at Gowran (14f, good to soft) 63 days ago. Yard having good spell and the handicapper has given him a chance.

Form: 18070-3

(10)

Sixandahalf³⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 9-0| J: Gary Carroll| T: G P Cromwell| OR: 94| D

6/4

Shaped best when runner-up in the Dawn Run at Cheltenham. Below form 4¾ lengths third of 10 to Cottesloe Sunshine in listed hurdle at Punchestown (16.4f, good to soft, 8/13) 34 days ago. Useful on the Flat, excellent third in the Irish Cesarewitch here in the autumn. More to come.

Form: 123613-

(8)

Zanndabad^t¹³⁶

Age: 6| Weight: 8-13| J: Colin Keane| T: A J Martin| OR: 93

16/1

Respectable sixth of 10 in handicap hurdle at Windsor (20f, good to soft, 5/1) 136 days ago, unsuited by way race developed. Shaped well when sixth in the Irish Cesarewitch in the autumn.

Form: 307/366-

(17)

Smooth Tom^v⁴⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 8-12| J: Andrew Slattery| T: A Slattery| OR: 92| C

7/1

Visored, won 7-runner minor event hurdle (10/3) at Cork (16.3f, soft) 45 days ago, readily. That was a big career best having finished third in the Irish Lincolnshire in March. Player if his stamina holds.

Form: 0/2101-3

(2)

It's Tim^t²⁵

Age: 4| Weight: 8-9| J: Declan McDonogh| T: G Boughey| OR: 89| BF| D

20/1

Rapid improver this spring, completing 4-timer at Wolverhampton in May. 1/2, just a respectable third of 6 in handicap at Nottingham (14f, good to firm) 25 days ago. Yard in good form but revised mark asks for more.

Form: 211113

(7)

Jabbar^p1²²

Age: 6| Weight: 8-9| J: Rory Mulligan⁽⁷⁾| T: Gerard O'Leary| OR: 89| D

25/1

Six wins from 22 Flat runs. Good fifth of 15 in handicap at Killarney (16.8f, good, 15/2) 22 days ago, caught further back than ideal. Cheekpieces on 1st time.

Form: 32-1665

(1)

Tribal Star^p⁴⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 8-8| J: Jamie Powell⁽³⁾| T: A McGuinness| OR: 88

Form: 4312-22

(15)

Zoffman^p¹¹

Age: 6| Weight: 8-8| J: Nathan Crosse| T: N Meade| OR: 88| C

28/1

Course winner. Respectable eleventh of 19 in handicap at this course (10f, good, 22/1) 11 days ago, not clear run. Significantly up in trip, which will suit and cheekpieces are back on. Merits consideration.

Form: 0/3302-0

(4)

Mr Percy^p⁵⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 8-7| J: Wayne Hassett⁽⁵⁾| T: J P O'Brien| OR: 87| D

Forecasts

Sixandahalf (6/4), Mr Percy (2/1), Smooth Tom (7/1), Harbour Wind (12/1), Zanndabad (16/1), En Or (16/1), Vischio (16/1), Tribal Star (18/1), Taipan (20/1), It's Tim (20/1), Falcon Eight (22/1), Jabbar (25/1), Helvic Dream (25/1), Chally Chute (25/1), Zoffman (28/1), Star Harbour (33/1), Riviera Queen (33/1)

Any number to consider but MR PERCY and Sixandahalf are arguably the most interesting pair back on the level given their recent hurdles exploits. Marginal preference is for the Joseph O'Brien inmate at the foot of the weights. Zanndabad shaped well in the Irish Cesarewitch in the autumn so is also on the shortlist.
