C&D winner who completed a hat-trick in 16-runner handicap at Chelmsford City (8f) 30 days ago, driven out. Back on turf and still retains plenty of handicapping scope on old form. Respected.
Failed to come on for recent outing when only fourth of 7 in handicap at Kempton (8f, 10/3) 27 days ago. Bit to prove at present.
Ran better than last time in a first-time visor when fifth of 14 in handicap (25/1) at this course (8f, good to firm) 15 days ago, not ideally placed. Not ruled out.
Fifteen runs since last win in 2022 but in good form when last seen in the autumn, finishing a respectable fourth of 12 in handicap at Southwell (8.1f), despite being left poorly placed. His record suggests he may just need this first outing for 6 months, however.
Has been given a chance by the handicapper after a winless 2024 and ran well when third of 11 in handicap at Ripon (8f, good to firm) on return 22 days ago. In the mix with a repeat.
Confirmed promise of his reappearance with a taking success in 12-runner handicap at Ayr (7f, good to firm) 3 weeks ago. Good effort under a penalty when keeping on from the rear for sixth of 20 at York (7f) on Friday, particularly as his jockey reported that his girth had snapped. Big player.
Thriving on all-weather, completing a second hat-trick of the year in 8-runner handicap at Southwell (7.1f) 44 days ago. Not sure to be so effective back on turf, however.
Shaped well on just second start for current yard when fourth of 10 in handicap at Ascot (8f, firm) 18 days ago, faring best of those ridden prominently. One to consider.
Ran better than for a while when second of 7 in handicap at Leicester (8.2f, firm) 8 days ago, clear of rest. Needs to back that up now.
Course winner. Creditable second of 9 in handicap at Chelmsford City (7f, 9/4) 24 days ago. Blinkers on for 1st time. Should continue to run well.
Showed improved form when resuming winning ways in 13-runner handicap at Musselburgh (8f, good, 16/1) 35 days ago, helped by being held up in strongly-run race. 4 lb higher in a stronger affair here.
Made the frame on several occasions for Hugo Palmer last season but below form both starts for new yard.
Frustrating sort on a long losing run who was never in it when seventh of 10 in handicap at Wolverhampton (6.1f) on final start in December, not knocked about. Has won fresh before but kept to a higher grade than necessary.

Forecasts
Yaaser (11/4), Waiting All Night (11/2), Be Frank (15/2), Lunario (15/2), Flag Of St George (17/2), Mudamer (17/2), Izzari (10/1), Kit Gabriel (14/1), Lord Rapscallion (18/1), Ash Wednesday (18/1), Mercury Day (20/1), Lyndon B (28/1), The Bitter Moose (80/1)
YAASER recorded a taking success at Ayr last month and ran well again at York on Friday so might prove the answer for a yard which does well in this series. Lord Rapscallion is thriving at present and retains plenty of handicapping scope still on this return to turf, with Flag of St George and Lunario others to consider.
- Yaaser11/4
- Lord Rapscallion18/1
