Last win came in a similar C&D handicap in summer 2023 and claims on the pick of last season's efforts, including 2 seconds here. Poor runs at Southwell to start the year, though.
In good heart in the autumn, placed twice at Ayr, and a player having dipped in the weights if arriving in form. 1 of 2 for yard that successfully target this series.
Signed off for last season with victory in 7f Catterick handicap in the mud, landing a gamble and enhancing a good course record. Gone well fresh (won on good to firm on debut) and probably not out of things off revised mark.
Improved in handicaps last season, not least when the cheekpieces went on, winning twice at Ayr (6f/7f). Went close on 2-y-o debut and could have more to offer in 2025. First run here.
Successful at Bath in the autumn and took similar race in this series over C&D in 2022. Ran well in corresponding race on return in 2023 and good record fresh makes him of firm interest for in-form yard.
Progressive last summer, winning 6f Ripon novice and Southwell handicap. Disappointing final start but still unexposed beginning 4-y-o campaign and should stay 7f.
Showed improved form on all-weather to end 2024, winning 3 of his final 4 outings over 7f/1m. Lightly raced on turf, shaping a bit better from falling mark (2 lb lower still here) at Doncaster a fortnight ago. Wouldn't dismiss.
Habitual slow starter but it all came together as she landed a good fillies' handicap over C&D in October, her fourth victory at Musselburgh. Returns on a workable mark and has gone well fresh. 1 of 2 for Jim Goldie.
Lightly raced on turf, with all 3 of his wins coming on AW. Below form the last twice and bit to find with blinkers replacing cheekpieces worn last time.
Won back-to-back races last summer and much better for first run for this yard when going close in hot 7f Doncaster handicap a fortnight ago, keeping on well. First start here and good claims nudged back up 2 lb.
Signed off for Roger Fell with victory in 6f Southwell handicap in October in first-time visor and ran creditably having been easy to back on first outing for new yard at Wolverhampton a fortnight ago (nearest finish). Return to 7f will suit and one to consider.
Not won for ages and couldn't take a big enough step back in the right direction to justify strong market confidence dropped to this grade on return at Chelmsford (1m) a fortnight ago. Down another 2 lb and might be closer to form here.

Forecasts
Abduction (7/2), Stockpyle (5/1), Benacre (6/1), Mister Bluebird (17/2), Sondad (17/2), Vibrato (11/1), Jonny Concrete (12/1), Vince Le Prince (12/1), Beattie Is Back (14/1), Rock Melody (16/1), Hectic (16/1), Judgment Call (20/1)
MISTER BLUEBIRD has a good record fresh and has previous in this series here, winning a C&D handicap in 2022 and running well on his return in the 2023 competition. He reappears with his yard among the winners so ticks plenty of boxes. Stockpyle ran a screamer in a hot Doncaster handicap on the opening weekend of the season and can go well again. Jonny Concrete and Hectic are a couple of others to consider.

- Jonny Concrete12/1
