Latest win at Epsom in July. Unseated rider in novice hurdle (22/1) at Fakenham (16f, good) 22 days ago. Not at best on latest outing in this sphere, so others are more persuasive.

Third of 4 in handicap at Southwell (14.1f, 9/1) 9 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. Not a forlorn hope.

Latest win at Kempton in September. 5/4, respectable second of 9 in handicap at Southwell (12.1f) 32 days ago, not much room. Has been going the right way and should give another good account of himself.

12/1, below form seventh of 13 in handicap at Newbury (12f, heavy) 14 days ago. Likely to come on for that run, so should be closer to form.

Fourteen runs since last win in 2023. Unseated rider in handicap (9/1) at Newbury (12f, heavy) 14 days ago. Had been shaping up nicely prior to that and has a solid AW record, so strong claims in first-time blinkers.

Thrice-raced maiden. 50/1, last of 7 in novice at Kempton (12f) 54 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Bred to be better than this mark, so worth monitoring in the betting after a break.

Forecasts

Hunters Run (5/4), Sax Appeal (4/1), Genesius (6/1), Dashing Panther (7/1), Le Rouge Chinois (8/1), Al Haal (14/1), Gordon Grey (40/1)

Verdict

GENESIUS couldn't be blamed for unseating at Newbury last time and, back on AW with blinkers applied, he makes plenty of appeal. The in-form Hunters Run is an obvious danger and Sax Appeal can't be ruled out down in grade.

  1. Genesius6/1
  2. Hunters Run5/4
  3. Sax Appeal4/1
