Cheekpieces on for 1st time, may have found race coming too soon when ninth of 10 in handicap (22/1) at Redcar (10f, good to soft) 29 days ago. Significantly back up in trip and refitting of a visor may help here.
C&D winner. Latest win at Yarmouth in July. 11/2, eighth of 9 in handicap at Redcar (14f, good to soft) 19 days ago, racing off the pace and never dangerous. Likely type to bounce back.
Won an AW claimer at Chantilly last autumn. Better with each outing for present yard, second of 5 in handicap at Newcastle (16.2f) 23 days ago, edged out final 50 yds. Unexposed at this sort of trip and respected as a low-mileage 4-y-o.
C&D winner. 2 wins from 6 runs this year. Won 7-runner handicap at Yarmouth (11.5f, soft, 14/1) 9 days ago, battling well. Carries penalty. Definite possibilities returned to this longer trip.
Lightly-raced this year and showed himself back in better heart when fourth of 11 in handicap at Goodwood (2m, heavy) 11 days ago. Lines up operating from same mark but drop back to 1¾m may not suit ideally.
Facile winner in the mud at Catterick (13.9f) in spring 2023. Absent since finishing respectable fifth of 11 in handicap at Haydock (16.2f, heavy) in July of last year and the market can prove a useful guide on this first start for 14 months.
Proved better than ever re-united with this yard, gaining a fifth victory of 2024 in 10-runner handicap at Chester (15.9f) in September. Well below best when eighth of 10 in handicap at York (16.2f) 12 days ago but he appeals as a likely candidate to bounce back.
Steady improver tackling middle distances, career best when winning 5-runner handicap at Leicester (11.8f, good to firm) 85 days ago, in command entering final 1f and kept up to work. Feasible to think he can do better again now his stamina is tested further.
Proved he still retains his ability in this sphere when runner-up at Thirsk in May and won back-to-back races over hurdles later that month. Not been in same form since under either code, however.
Winner at Haydock in June. Fifth of 7 in handicap (15/2) at Ffos Las (16f, heavy) 62 days ago, beaten 2f out. Blinkers back on. Needs a couple of these to falter.
Latest win at Ayr (15f) in October. Creditable sixth of 10 in handicap back at that venue (13.1f, good) 14 days ago, beaten 1f out. Handicapper looks to have him about right.
Bounced back to form to double her tally over C&D in June but not been in same form since, again showing signs of temperament (flashed tail) when eighth of 13 in handicap at Chester (14.4f, soft) 33 days ago. Others more persuasive.
Winning staying hurdler in Ireland for Emmet Mullins. More encouraging signs from easing mark in this sphere, good second of 8 in handicap at Pontefract (18f, heavy) 17 days ago, suited by emphasis on stamina. Not dismissed for all the drop back in trip may not suit ideally. Visored.
First run since leaving Charlie Johnston when eighth of 9 in handicap at Wolverhampton (12.2f, 150/1) 10 days ago, labouring 3f out and first beaten. Cheekpieces on for 1st time. Passed over.

Forecasts
Hardy Bloke (9/2), Havaila (11/2), Ebony Maw (13/2), Alpine Stroll (7/1), Corsican Caper (7/1), Rock N Roll Pinkie (10/1), Expressionless (10/1), Arcon (11/1), Mister Camacho (16/1), Thrilling Dream (18/1), Diamand De Vindecy (18/1), Ala Kaifi (28/1), Haarar (33/1), Winter Life (150/1)
In a wide-open race, it could just be worth siding with ALPINE STROLL. He arrives on the back of a battling success over shorter at Yarmouth 9 days ago and with a solid course record to call upon, he makes appeal under a penalty. Thrilling Dream for Ed Dunlop is another of interest now upped in trip in search of the hat-trick. Hardy Bloke with a visor enlisted and Arcon are just a couple of others to consider.
