Course winner who has steadily eased in the weights this year and he duly capitalised down in grade when winning 12-runner handicap at Thirsk (7f, good to firm) 28 days ago, having benefit of enterprising ride from wide draw. Remains well treated on old form if arriving in same groove.
Dual 1m winner at Pontefract (both at 1m) in August but appeared anchored by rise in weights next 2 starts and lesser effort when last of 5 in handicap (6/1) at Newmarket (9f, soft) 8 days ago. Underfoot conditions will hold no fears though and better showing anticipated.
Gained reward for some agonising defeats when winning 11-runner handicap at Beverley (8.5f) in August. Left poorly placed in race not run to suit at Leopardstown (1m) 3 weeks ago and she's well worth another chance to prove her revised mark workable.
Veteran who rattled off quick-fire 4-timer at Newcastle earlier this year. Stepped up with each start back on turf following a break, good second of 9 in handicap at Carlisle (6.9f, good to soft) 45 days ago. This is more demanding, however.
3-y-o who opened his account at Doncaster (1m) in June and left a lesser effort at Yarmouth behind when making all in 9-runner C&D handicap 6 weeks ago, by 1¾ lengths from Empire of Light, having very much had the run of race. Still, he could yet have more to offer.
Doubled his tally at Haydock (10.2f) in June and has placed all 5 starts since, beaten only by one who had slipped in the weights back at that venue (8.2f) 4 weeks ago. Does need to prove his effectiveness on ground softer than good, however.
Solid efforts on 3 of his first 4 starts for this yard and whilst not in same form of late, he raced too freely in first-time cheekpieces (discarded here) when 4¾ lengths sixth of 9 to Naepoint in C&D handicap 42 days ago. Each-way possibilities.
Won twice last season for James Horton, including at this course (7.2f). Hasn't reached that level so far for current yard, cheekpieces on 1st time when fifth of 8 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 8 days ago. Others stronger.
Tasted success twice at Beverley last term and ran of this season's best races when runner-up over C&D in August. Exploits mixed in 2 subsequent outings and he's undergone wind surgery ahead of this.
5f winner at 2 yrs who has built up a solid record in handicaps without getting her head infront, staying on for third in 12-runner contest at Carlisle (6.9f) 24 days ago. Looks worth another crack at this trip on balance and she's versatile as regards ground.

Forecasts
Naepoint (3/1), Zapphire (3/1), Empire Of Light (9/2), Leadenhall (11/2), Catton Lady (9/1), Cruyff Turn (11/1), Zozimus (18/1), Park Street (22/1), Danielsflyer (33/1), Harlem Nights (50/1)
Having deservedly resumed winning ways on her penultimate start, ZAPPHIRE found the run of the race completely against her when down the field at Leopardstown 3 weeks ago. She's well worth another chance to prove her revised mark a workable one and earns the vote under her promising 7 lb claimer. Naepoint and Zozimus are others to consider, whilst Cruyff Turn remains well treated on old form and was successful at Thirsk 4 weeks ago.
