Resumed winning ways in handicap at Chelmsford City (5f) last month but not so potent back on turf at Chester 2 weeks ago. Needs to bounce back.

(6)

Dashing Dick^b²⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 9-12| J: J Mitchell| T: W Stone| OR: 79| CD

3/1

Added to his C&D win from last summer when making all in good style 3 weeks ago. That form is working out well so must be respected up 6 lb.

Form: 854-031

(7)

Equiano Springs²⁰

Age: 10| Weight: 9-11| J: N Callan| T: T P Tate| OR: 78| CD

7/1

Veteran who looked on his way back when second at Haydock but disappointed over C&D since (usually goes well here). Others preferred.

Form: 93-8025

(10)

Antiphon¹¹

Age: 5| Weight: 9-9| J: Tom Marquand| T: M Murphy & M Keady| OR: 76| BF| D

15/2

Narrow winner at Windsor in the spring and plenty of decent efforts in defeat since, including when runner-up there 11 days ago despite being pestered for the lead throughout. Of interest again.

Form: 249332

(2)

Maximum Impact^p1²⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-7| J: D Egan| T: George Scott| OR: 78

9/1

Won first 2 starts in 2023 for Alice Haynes. Largely disappointed subsequently and just the one decent effort for current yard (close third over C&D in June). Headgear on.

Form: 87-4638

(4)

Mart⁵⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 9-7| J: Callum Shepherd| T: Dylan Cunha| OR: 78| D

12/1

Five wins from 19 Flat runs. Latest win at Lingfield in May. Below par last 2 starts but return to 6f will suit.

Form: 221104

(1)

Asimov^t²¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: Daniel Muscutt| T: J R Fanshawe| OR: 77| D

10/3

Off the mark at the seventh attempt in Doncaster maiden and good second back in a handicap at Nottingham 3 weeks ago, clear of rest and finding only an unexposed rival too strong. Not taken lightly.

Form: 454712

(3)

Roman Emperor²⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-4| J: L Morris| T: J Ryan| OR: 75| D

25/1

Winner at Southwell (6f) in January and runner-up at Lingfield on next 2 starts. Not in the same form since, however, his last 2 starts particularly poor.

Form: 285580

(8)

Spring Bloom¹⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 9-4| J: R Kingscote| T: R Eddery| OR: 71

17/2

Signs of decline this season and others preferred despite a career-low mark.

Form: 6-68645

Kodiac Thriller⁶⁶

Weight: 9-7| Age: 3

T: C Hills J: Billy Loughnane

Forecasts

Dashing Dick (3/1), Asimov (10/3), Equiano Springs (7/1), Antiphon (15/2), The Thames Boatman (8/1), Spring Bloom (17/2), Maximum Impact (9/1), Kodiac Thriller (10/1), Mart (12/1), Roman Emperor (25/1)

ASIMOV's recent efforts suggest he's still on the upgrade so he shades the vote over in-form pair Antiphon and Dashing Dick.
