Go North Sea Pigeon Hurdle Series Final (Handicap Hurdle) (GBB Race)

Has thrived for his current yard, gaining an eighth win in 2m1f Carlisle hurdle in December. Decent effort back from a break on the Flat 2 weeks ago which should leave him spot on.

Pair of 17f Sedgefield wins under Brian Hughes this winter, shooting 13 lengths clear in a handicap latterly. A 7 lb rise for that looks manageable. Player.

Has drawn a blank since winning the Scottish County here in February 2023, although he did shape as if back in better form when fifth in this year's renewal of that race. Hasn't kicked on, however. Change of headgear.

Enhanced his good record here when scoring over 2m in November and posted another good effort here when third in a better race than this on penultimate start. Shaped as if still in good form on heavy ground at Doncaster since and not taken lightly back at this venue (won this last year).

Much improved when getting off the mark in 11-runner novice at Sedgefield (16.8f, heavy) and backed that up switched to handicaps when runner-up next 2 starts. Possibilities off an unchanged mark.

Signed off last term with a win at Perth and built on pair of placed efforts this season when resuming winning ways over 2½m here in January. Turned in a rare below-par effort in first-time tongue strap at Ayr last time.

Enhanced good record here when resuming winning ways on New Year's Day (15.6f, soft), overcoming the rise in class in good style. Still on the upgrade so must enter calculations.

Fairly useful hurdler for Dan Skelton but left that yard after running poorly on chase debut/return. Pulled up back hurdling at Sedgefield next time (only run for Ben Haslam) but ran better than for a while on only his second outing for this yard when fifth at Newcastle. One to bear in mind again.

Notched second success over fences at Sedgefield in October and ran well off his lower hurdles mark when runner-up at Catterick (15.7f). Ran a stinker here next time, however.

Has his quirks, as shown when throwing away the win at Catterick. Made amends despite hanging badly left when ridden into a clear lead at Wetherby next time. Capable of defying a 7 lb rise but comes with risks attached.

Not as good as he was but more of an impact off much-reduced mark and in a first-time visor when runner-up at Ayr 4 weeks ago. Now needs to prove that he can build on that back up in class.

Veteran who won back-to-back at Hexham in November. Threatening to come good soon but probably not at this speed-favouring track back up in class.

Has dipped in the weights but looked difficult under various codes last season and has enough to prove on return.
