Aldaniti Partnership Novices' Handicap Chase

Bumper/novice hurdle winner first 2 starts. Didn't kick on after but type to make a chaser (off mark in Irish points at second attempt). Has undergone a breathing operation and wears first-time cheekpieces/tongue strap on this chasing debut.

Showed fair form when reaching the frame in a couple of bumpers and best effort over hurdles last season when fifth of 10 in handicap at Ascot (23.5f, good to soft, 6/1) final start. Off 7 months. Drop back in trip is a concern on chase debut.

Found improvement in this sphere when fourth of 15 in 2m Chepstow novice in November but well below par next 2 starts 4 months apart. Off 6 months. Makes chase debut.

Modest maiden hurdler/chaser but has slipped to an attractive mark and not taken lightly in this field.

Runner-up on handicap debut at Fontwell in March and backed it up with a solid fifth at Plumpton. Looked rusty after 6 months off at Fontwell and now goes chasing.

Belatedly off the mark (fortunate winner) in maiden hurdle at Stratford in May and followed up under a penalty at Fontwell. Respectable second off reduced mark back over fences at Wincanton 10 days ago and is unexposed in this sphere.

Placed on the second of his 2 runs between the flags but comfortably held all 3 starts over hurdles. Makes handicap/chase debut.

Joined current yard in the summer and left his previous efforts well behind to land 2m5f Fontwell handicap chase. Run best ignored (badly hampered and rider lost irons) at Plumpton next time and quickly back on track when second there on Monday. Considered.

Poor maiden hurdler who offered little sent chasing at Stratford last time and 4 lb out of the handicap here.
