Winner at the Cheltenham Festival back in 2019/20, but became increasingly hard to predict for Gordon Elliott and down the field in a trio of starts for Ben Haslam this term.
Winner of a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse in February last year but failed to complete on his next 4 starts, including twice over fences this season. Got around back over hurdles last time, though didn't make much of an impact.
Very smart chaser at best for Noel Meade and won a minor event over hurdles at Limerick last season. However, has lost his way since then, finishing well held in 3 chase starts for current connections.
Won twice at this C&D last season and best effort of the current campaign when runner-up at Fakenham (2m4f) on New Year's Day. Well handicapped and can get back to winning ways at this venue.
Having dropped in the weights, took full advantage at Cartmel (22.1f) in August before following up at Hexham (20.1f) 10 days later. Shaped as if better for run at Bangor in November, but not seen since. First run for yard after leaving Nicky Richards.
Didn't go on as hoped over fences last season following a promising novice campaign, and well held on return at Exeter. Again showed little back over hurdles at Catterick 10 days ago, so has a bit to prove at present.
Has been going the right way over fences in recent months, landing back-to-back handicaps at this C&D and Catterick before running at least as well when finding only one too strong is his hat-trick bid at Newcastle. Respected back over hurdles.
Fairly useful hurdler who scored twice at around 2m in 2021/22. Ran to a similar level on his seasonal/chase debut when runner-up at Doncaster in November (19.1f), but went backwards from that effort next time. Interesting returned to hurdling.
Three-time winner as a juvenile and, having slipped to a handy mark, has got back on track with a pair of placed efforts this season. Pulled clear of the rest when runner-up at Fontwell on Boxing Day and he can give another good account.
Having shaped encouragingly after 6 months off at this C&D in October, built on that promise at the second time of asking when getting back to winning ways at Newcastle (20.3f) on Boxing Day. Remains on a workable mark.

Haafapiece (16/5), Pyramid Place (10/3), Ladronne (5/1), Doctor Dex (13/2), Universal Folly (7/1), New Found Fame (7/1), Sheriff Garrett (15/2), Alnadam (9/1), Aramax (16/1), Bon Retour (16/1), Daly Tiger (22/1), Peaceful Sunday (28/1)
A dual C&D winner last season, HAAFAPIECE produced his best effort of the current campaign when runner-up at Fakenham last time and he can go one better from 8 lb below his last winning mark. Heading the list of dangers is Ladronne, who has been thriving over fences of late, while Pyramid Place can also give another good account.
