Placed on the second of 2 outings in Irish points and heading in the right direction over hurdles, opening his account in clear-cut and likeable fashion on handicap debut over C&D 23 days ago. Hiked up 10 lb but further progress can't be ruled out.

Stepped up on his reappearance/stable debut when second of 14 in a C&D maiden (good to soft) 41 days ago. Opening mark looks workable on that evidence and he's strongly respected.

Showed a bit on his sole outing in bumpers but left that form behind to make a successful debut over hurdles at Newcastle (20f) in November. Not in the same form under a penalty at Sedgefield and now drops back in trip for handicap debut.

Useful at best on the Flat, though form went the wrong way last year. Faced a stiff task on first hurdles start since 2020 when fourth of 5 in a Doncaster novice in November. Now tried in hood making his handicap hurdle debut, but others still preferred.

THISTLE ASK fared a whole lot better than on his stable debut when runner-up in a C&D maiden in December and, with the performance backed up by a healthy timefigure, he gets the nod to go one better on his handicap debut. Fia Fuinidh showed much-improved form to make a successful start in handicaps over C&D last month and is highly respected in his follow-up bid despite having a 10 lb higher mark to contend with. One Mill Harbour is another to take seriously.
