Cheekpieces on for 1st time, career best when winning 11-runner handicap (10/1) at Wolverhampton (7.2f) under this rider 31 days ago, well positioned. Merits consideration.
Smart at best. 11/2, 6¼ lengths fourth of 6 to Zip in handicap at Newcastle (7.1f) 24 days ago. Others more persuasive.
Useful winner in France but left P. Bary for only €17,000 in November. Market should reveal expectations.
Useful form in France. 50/1, first run since leaving Francis-Henri Graffard when last of 7 in minor event at Wolverhampton (6.1f) on UK debut 31 days ago, very slowly away. Makes handicap debut.
10/1, won 9-runner handicap at this C&D 16 days ago, keeping on well. Has to be taken seriously.
Useful on turf but still to prove he's as effective on AW. Off 8 months. Below last winning mark.
Arrives in good form and quickly resumed winning ways in 6-runner handicap at Newcastle (7.1f, 9/2) 24 days ago, kept up to work. Will find this tougher.
Course winner. Good second with headgear re-fitted at Southwell but failed to back that up at Kempton (8f) 19 days ago.
First run since leaving Simon & Ed Crisford when very good second of 8 in handicap (5/2) at this C&D 20 days ago. Looked a promising sort before his 3-y-o campaign was cut short so may do better still.
Not at best last season and 6 lengths eighth of 9 to Tiger Crusade in handicap (11/1) at this C&D on return 16 days ago.
Forecasts
Tiger Crusade (2/1), Zip (10/3), Tylos (11/2), Witch Hunter (6/1), Lord Of The Lodge (17/2), Alexander James (14/1), Another Batt (16/1), Titan Rock (22/1), Haziym (50/1), Moai (50/1)
TIGER CRUSADE took well to this surface when scoring over C&D earlier this month and remains on a good mark up only 3 lb (has won off 1 lb higher). Witch Hunter enhanced his excellent record on AW when winning in this headgear at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day and rates a solid alternative, while Tylos made a promising start for this yard when a close second over C&D and remains lightly raced.
- Witch Hunter6/1
- Tylos11/2
