Verdict

While SKIP JAMES is 1 lb worse off with Approaching Bear compared to when just touched off by that rival in a Fairyhouse claimer last month, he has fewer miles on the clock than that rival and may well reverse the placings here, provided he takes to this surface. That said, Approaching Bear is likely to give another good account and is feared most ahead of Pub Talk, who got the better of Distillate at Down Royal and merits respect despite going up 6 lb.
