Fairly useful performer who has landed small field novice events at Nottingham/Musselburgh and ran right up to best when 3 lengths fourth in 9-runner C&D listed event in August. Raced alone stand side and never figured at Ayr (5f, listed) 3 weeks ago but this more suitable.
Al Kazeem colt who was well backed and stepped up plenty on opening pair of exploits when running out a comfortable winner of a Pontefract novice (5f) in August. Interesting now attentions are switched to handicaps with prospect of more to come.
Stepped up markedly on her debut run when fifth of 19 in valuable sales event here (6f) in August and didn't need to match that level when taking a Beverley maiden (5f) 23 days ago, challenging 1f out and keeping on. May have more to offer.
Winner on nursery debut at Hamilton (5f) and, reverting back to positive tactics bounced back from lesser effort when second at Carlisle (5f) in August. Found wanting at listed level latest and likely he'll face competition on the front end here.
Finally off the mark in a Chepstow maiden (5f) 3 starts back and, having found only one too good at Catterick next time, he duly got back to winning ways in a Wolverhampton nursery (5.1f) 6 days ago. This tougher under a penalty but clearly thriving at present.
Fair colt. Bit below form third of 8 in maiden (10/3) at Ayr (6f, soft) 10 days ago, having helped force the pace. Will hold more chance back in handicap company
Havana Gold filly who built on promise of first 2 starts when dead-heating in 6-runner Hamilton novice (5f) 3 weeks ago, notably travelling well. Merits respect now sent handicapping.
James Garfield filly. Tasted success on debut at Doncaster (5f) in May. Only one real effort of note in 5 starts subsequently but this more suitable than her latest assignment in big field sales' race 3 weeks ago.

Russet Gold (5/6), Havana By The Sea (4/1), Betweenthesticks (15/2), Not For Profit (8/1), Looking For Lynda (10/1), Queenie Rooney (11/1), Shine's Ambition (22/1), Match Play (22/1), Parr Fire (40/1)
RUSSET GOLD was visually impressive as he readily surpassed previous exploits to get off the mark in a Pontefract novice (5f) back in August and, with the distinct possibility of more to come now handicapping, he gets the nod to come out on top again. Queenie Rooney impressed with how she travelled when dead-heating at Hamilton and a good pace to aim at will suit on her nursery bow. Havana By The Sea completes the shortlist.
