Respectable fourth of 9 in handicap at Newcastle (7.1f, 2/1) 11 days ago. Not without each-way hope, but a few of these are more appealing from a win point of view.
Unreliable individual. Course winner. Improved on recent efforts to win 5-runner handicap at Carlisle (7.8f, good to soft, 9/4) 6 days ago. Probably worth taking on under a penalty here.
Temperamental sort. Fifth of 6 in handicap (11/2) at Salisbury (9.9f, good to firm) 34 days ago. Given a chance by the handicapper, but passed over here all the same.
Winner at Thirsk in April. Seventh of 8 in handicap at Haydock (10.4f, good, 14/1) 38 days ago. Back down in trip and it's probably best to look elsewhere.
Remains a maiden after 16 Flat runs. 11/4, third of 5 in handicap at Ayr (10f, good) 40 days ago. Down in trip and should have a part to play in the finish.
Good third of 11 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f, 7/1) 27 days ago, faring best of those held up. Safely held both previous attempts on turf and likely to come up short once more.
Latest win at Yarmouth in June. 6/1, ninth of 10 in handicap at Yarmouth (8f, good to firm) 16 days ago. May have needed that run following a 10-week break and worth considering here off a 2 lb lower mark.
Course winner. Latest win at Carlisle in August. Respectable fourth of 9 in handicap (2/1) at Carlisle (7.8f, good to soft) 6 days ago. Likely to be in the thick of things once again.
Two wins from 6 runs this year. Career best when winning 10-runner handicap (16/5) at Newcastle (7.1f) 25 days ago. 0-7 on turf, but will be a danger to all in hat-trick bid if able to build on recent AW exploits.
Course winner. Latest win at Beverley in July. 8¾ lengths eighth of 10 to Royal Prospect in handicap at Carlisle (7.8f, good to firm, 8/1) 14 days ago. Back to a potentially lenient mark, but clearly has work to do.

Forecasts
Simulation Theory (15/8), Royal Prospect (6/1), Bold Territories (13/2), Russian Virtue (7/1), By Your Side (10/1), Zlatan (10/1), Old News (10/1), Come On John (12/1), Virgo (16/1), Stripzee (28/1)
BY YOUR SIDE was possibly a shade rusty when returning from a break at Yarmouth and, with that run under his belt, he could be worth chancing in this open-looking handicap, particularly if the ground turns out to be on the slow side of good. Though most of Royal Prospect's best form has come on a fast surface, he has performed well on soft in the past and looks set for another leading role, while Bold Territories, successful on the all-weather the last twice, and Russian Virtue also have claims.
