Has won his fair share and ran a screamer when third in a big-field handicap at York in June. Hasn't been in the same form on both subsequent outings, though.
Lurking on a handy mark and has generally been running respectably this season, including when fifth at Ripon 9 days ago. Worth consideration.
Returned to form from out of blue when second at Carlisle in July but down the field both starts since. Refitted with cheekpieces, now, so will need them to perk him up.
Back on the scoresheet at Wetherby during the spring and added to his tally when accounting for eight rivals at Pontefract in July. Struggled in a higher grade since but worth respecting back in calmer waters here.
Hasn't won for a while but his mark has dropped as a result and last couple of efforts have contained some encouragement. Not discounted.
Down the weights and produced best effort of the season when third of 8 in handicap (7/1) at Ayr (6f, good) 33 days ago. Needs to build on that.
Debut maiden winner at Musselburgh in April and right back on track when runner-up at Beverley (despite slow start) a month ago. One to be interested in.
Shaped with bit more promise on first run after wind-op when fourth of 7 in handicap at this course in June, then disappointed here next time. Given a break since and is still unexposed in sprinting terms.
Unreliable sort who arrives on the back of a tame display at Beverley, so others make more appeal.
Becoming well treated but showing no signs that she's about to capitalise, last of 7 at Hamilton 23 days ago. Others preferred.
Scored over C&D in June and, while he's failed to beat a rival on both starts since, the saddle slipped at Thirsk latest, so he's not one to write off.
Likeable sort who has a string of recent placed efforts to his name but now finds himself out of the weights in quite a competitive race. Not completely dismissed.

Forecasts
Pockley (11/4), Princess Karine (11/2), Cottam Lane (8/1), J R Cavagin (17/2), Quercus (9/1), Helvetian (9/1), Never Dark (11/1), Hey Mr (11/1), Politics (16/1), Lazyitis (22/1), La Roca Del Fuego (25/1), East Street Revue (28/1), Duke Of Firenze (33/1)
PRINCESS KARINE is the least exposed in this field and arrives on the back of a solid showing at Beverley a month ago, so she gets the nod ahead of J R Cavagin, who should be spot on after a short break. Cottam Lane also warrants a mention.
- Princess Karine11/2
- J R Cavagin17/2
- Cottam Lane8/1
