Fairly useful form. Creditable fifth of 9 in handicap (7/2) at Ascot (1m, firm) 15 days ago, doing too much too soon. Makes polytrack debut. The one to beat back down at 7f.

Fair form in 2 outings for Roger Varian this summer. Down in trip now setting out for a new stable. Has the form to figure. Interesting to see how he goes in the betting.

Forecasts

Counsel (8/11), King of The Dance (3/1), Flag Of Truth (8/1), Salcombe Storm (12/1), Fashion Love (18/1), Sarkha (18/1), Duly Amazed (40/1), Twilight Mischief (40/1), Glen Etive (80/1), Fawn At Play (100/1)

Verdict

COUNSEL has had a few chances now but he does bring some fairly useful form to the table and there should be no excuses for him here. It's taken King of The Dance a bit of time to get back to the track after his debut third last September but he's open to improvement on the back of that promising run and he looks the chief threat ahead of Flag of Truth.
