Three-time 7f winner in 2021 who built on his Haydock reappearance effort when runner-up over this trip at York in May, pushed along over 2f out and plugging on. However, this demands even more from career-high mark.

Landed Windsor Castle/Newmarket Group 2 as a juvenile and returned with success in Free Handicap at Newmarket last spring. Not disgraced in stronger company thereafter and likely he'll come on for his reappearance spin over 6f in April. This more suitable and he's interesting.

Lightly-raced, progressive sort who ended last year with success at Sandown (7f) in June and picked up where he left off to land handicaps at around this trip at Meydan/Sakhir earlier this year. In excellent hands and possible he's not reached his limit yet.

Smart sprinter who was better than ever when landing a handicap off 105 at Kempton (6f) in March. Not at best when fifth in Group 2 Duke of York Stakes 5 weeks ago and he may find a few too good again back up at this longer trip.

Kickstarted 2022 with 1m win at Meydan and remained in form there. Never figured in C&D Victoria Cup but back on track when fourth at York (7f) 26 days ago. Present mark does demand that little bit more.

Much improved for this yard last year, racking up a hat-trick in handicaps around 7f in early-summer and far from disgraced when ninth in Balmoral Handicap over 1m here final start. Solid efforts on 2 of his 3 starts this campaign and this sort of mark looks workable on balance. Tongue tie goes on.

Dual 7f winner for Joseph O'Brien who shaped very well on his return/yard bow at Newcastle in March and confirmed that promise when running out a good winner of the C&D Victoria Cup under today's pilot. 5 lb higher mark shouldn't prevent another bold bid.

Developing a solid record over this C&D, landing last year's Victoria Cup and better for his return on AW when third behind Vafortino in the latest running in May, albeit well positioned. Can hit the frame again from same mark.

Most progressive as a 3-y-o, successful 3 times in 7f handicaps. Caught the eye on second of just 3 starts last season and small-field scenario not ideal for one with his style on return at Southwell (7f) in March. Shouldn't be underestimated for powerful yard as a 5-y-o.

Useful handicapper who went close in International Stakes over C&D in July. Mixed bag thereafter but likely he'll come on for his reappearance spin when eighth in last month's Victoria Cup from a single-figure draw. Interesting.

Resumed winning ways from a 7 lb higher mark over this trip at the Galway Festival last summer. Not operating at the same level so far this term, well held in big-field Curragh handicap on latest outing 4 weeks ago.

Two wins from 4 starts as a juvenile but didn't kick on last term for Roger Varian. Respectable enough return/yard debut at Tipperary but easy to back and well held in handicap/listed company subsequently. Plenty more needed in a race so competitive.

Winner of sole 2-y-o start who missed 2021 but clearly has plenty of potential, successful on return at Wetherby (7f) in April before readily defying 10 lb lower mark to maintain 100% record in Goodwood handicap (7f) 4 weeks ago. In excellent hands and high on the shortlist.

Set some stiff tasks over sprint trips last summer and, having slipped in weights he capitalised to end losing run over 6f at Hamilton 2 weeks ago. Only 3 lb higher now but yet to taste success at 7f and this a whole lot more competitive.

Very classy at his peak but he ended 2021 under a cloud and whilst he wasn't ideally placed when midfield on return in the Victoria Cup he may well fall short in a race of this nature again.

Regular in big-field handicaps, landing 2020 Wokingham consolation and fourth in the main one 12 months ago. Good third on return at Kempton and not seen to anything like best effect in the Victoria Cup. Rates a live each-way player.

Kept busy as a juvenile and improved further as a 3-y-o, winning 4 handicaps at up to 7.6f for Tom Dascombe. Ran with credit both starts for new trainer at Chester of late and whilst highly promising apprentice takes off valuable 5 lb, this assignment does demand that little bit more.

Acquired for £35,000 by new yard and confirmed promise of opening exploits this spring in landing back-to-back 6f handicaps at Windsor/Hamilton. Remains fairly low mileage and unlikely he's reached his limit just yet. Interesting back up in trip.

Enhanced good AW strike rate when landing a five-runner 6f event at Chelmsford in November. Clearly remains in very good heart, runner-up in 19-runner Newmarket handicap (6f) in April and he's effective over this trip.

Useful and versatile handicapper who finished third in last year's Irish Cambridgeshire prior to a fifth-place finish in English equivalent. Not disgraced in competitive big-field events this spring and this mark doesn't look beyond him.

Useful gelding who ran well to finish fifth in Victoria Cup in May and far from disgraced when fourth of 7 in a Windsor listed race (6f) 9 days later. Arrives here operating from last winning mark but place claims may be the best he can hope for.

MONTASSIB missed the whole of 2021 having won on debut at 2 yrs but he's quickly making up for lost time, supplementing his Wetherby reappearance victory with an impressive display on handicap debut at Goodwood 4 weeks ago. He promises to do better still and can put up a bold bid. Victoria Cup scorer Vafortino and low-mileage Tanmawwy are others to consider, as are Silent Film and George Boughey's Inver Park.
