Latest win at Southwell in February. Creditable third of 13 in handicap (11/1) at Southwell (6.1f) 13 days ago. Possibilities back on turf off a workable mark. Yard also fields Ahlawi.
6/1 and cheekpieces on for 1st time, creditable second of 9 in handicap at Chelmsford City (6f). Off 7 months. First run for yard after leaving Hugo Palmer and needs to raise his game a touch.
Latest win at Newcastle in February. 3/1, creditable fourth of 11 in handicap at Newcastle (5f) 33 days ago. Likely to be in the thick of things.
Latest win at Newcastle in February. 14/1, below form fifth of 9 in handicap at Ripon (6f, heavy) 16 days ago. Others more persuasive for win purposes.
Unreliable sort. Career best when winning 15-runner handicap (28/1) at this C&D (soft) 21 days ago. Whether he'll be able to back that up remains to be seen, but will be a danger to all if able to do so.
Nineteen runs since last win in 2021. Eighth of 12 in handicap at Epsom (5f, good to firm, 7/1) 11 days ago. Clearly not the force of old and passed over here, for all that his mark continues on the slide.
20/1, sixth of 9 in handicap at Ripon (6f, heavy) 16 days ago. Now 1 lb lower than for his latest success at Newcastle in September, so there is some cause for optimism.
C&D winner. 10/1, 15¼ lengths fourteenth of 15 to Prospect in handicap at this C&D (soft) 21 days ago. Than run was probably needed and it would be no surprise to see him feature more prominently this time.
17/2, bit below form seventh of 13 in handicap at Southwell (6.1f) 13 days ago. Entitled to come on for that (first run for 5 months) and he's not entirely without hope.
C&D winner. Respectable eighth of 14 in handicap (9/2) at this C&D (soft) 21 days ago. Will need to put that run behind him in order to play a leading role, but he'll probably be sharper now.
Three wins from 6 runs last year. Career best when winning 14-runner handicap (11/10) at Newcastle (7.1f) in September, always holding on. Resumes on a 5 lb higher mark, but claims nonetheless.
First run since leaving Nigel Tinkler when bit below form fourth of 9 in handicap at Ripon (6f, heavy, 8/1) 16 days ago, never nearer. Perhaps a shade too high in the weights for now.
Eleven runs since last win in 2020. Good third of 15 in handicap at Haydock (6f, good to firm, 11/2) 7 days ago, running on late. Expected to be bang there once more.
Eighteen runs since last win in 2019. 28/1, below form eleventh of 19 in handicap at Redcar (8f, soft), unsuited by step up in trip. Off 179 days. Back down in trip and he looks vulnerable.
Four wins from 18 runs last year. Thirteen runs since last win in 2021. 11/2, seventh of 11 in handicap at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) 8 days ago. Blinkers on 1st time and will have a chance if the headger has the desired effect.

Forecasts
After John (3/1), Barney's Bay (7/2), Prospect (13/2), Merry Secret (17/2), Lazyitis (17/2), Brazen Bolt (14/1), Strongbowe (14/1), It Just Takes Time (14/1), Tommy Taylor (20/1), Recall The Show (22/1), Captain Vallo (25/1), Ahlawi (25/1), Flavius Titus (33/1), Kapono (33/1), Ornate (33/1)
The most appealing of these is AFTER JOHN, who probably would've won granted better luck when tthird at Haydock last weekend. Strongbowe needs to bounce back following a very low-key reappearance spin, but he's dangerous to discount and could have a significant part to play. Brazen Bolt and Lazyitis are others to consider.
