Twice-raced colt. 14/1, second of 10 in maiden at Southwell (8.1f) 19 days ago, having run of race. Will need to raise his game in order to go one better here.

Twice-raced gelding. Second of 4 in minor event at Lingfield (6f, AW, 9/1) 25 days ago. Step back up in trip no bad thing and should be on the premises.

Once-raced gelding. Sixth of 9 in minor event (125/1) at Nottingham (8.3f, good to soft) on debut. Off 7 months and he's probably more one for handicaps later on.

Twice-raced gelding. Seventh of 9 in minor event at Kempton (7f, 11/1) 20 days ago, left poorly placed. Had shaped fairly well on debut at Wolverhampton, so not one to write off just yet.

Promising sort. 16/5, fourth of 12 in maiden at Newbury (6.5f, heavy) when last seen in October. That probably wasn't a particularly strong maiden by Newbury standards, but he's open to improvement and is high on the list here.

Lightly-raced filly. 9/4, bit below form fourth of 10 in maiden at Southwell (8.1f) 19 days ago, needing stronger gallop. Major player if judged on peak 2-y-o form and drop back to this trip looks a good move.

Once-raced filly. Last of 12 in maiden (11/1) at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) on debut. Off 8 months and she's another who may be seen in a better light in handicaps further down the line.

Once-raced filly. 7/1, tenth of 12 in maiden at this course (6.1f) on debut 21 days ago. Like stablemate Storm Dancer, she's probably more one for the longer-term.

Forecasts

Mumcat (3/1), Hopeman Harbour (7/2), Libra Tiger (7/2), Carpe Fortuna (13/2), Kickbox (13/2), Bond Boy (11/1), Lola Augustus (18/1), Agapanther (25/1), Storm Dancer (33/1), Wheresthebarbil (50/1), So Savvy (150/1), Alleghany (150/1)

Verdict

The most appealing of these is LIBRA TIGER, who shaped well in two starts on turf, both at top tracks, as a 2-y-o and should have more to offer this season. Carpe Fortuna, runner-up in novice events at Kempton and Lingfield so far, is second choice ahead of Mumcat. Kickbox is also on the shortlist.
