14/1

4-time C&D winner, but he came in last of 7 in handicap at Chelmsford City (6f) 29 days ago. Blinkers back on now, and not ruled out if it sparks a resurgence.

9/1

Three wins from 13 runs last year. 7/1, respectable fifth of 9 in handicap at Southwell (5f) 8 days ago. Back up in trip, and he can give another good account.

Form: 10-4625

(5)

Twilight Heir⁶⁵

Age: 4| Weight: 9-3| J: J Mitchell| T: S Durack| OR: 83| CD

14/1

Form: 23/1140-

(3)

Firepower^h³⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 9-3| J: Hollie Doyle| T: W Muir & C Grassick| OR: 83

7/1

Latest win at Epsom in August. 6/1, only seventh of 8 in handicap at Kempton (7f) 39 days ago, so he needs to bounce back.

Form: 93162-7

(2)

Age: 4| Weight: 8-9| J: M Dwyer| T: C Allen| OR: 75| CD

11/2

Dual C&D winner in January who posted another good effort here when neck second of 5 to Puerto De Vega in handicap 27 days ago. In the mix once more.

Form: 50-1612

(6)

Swiss Pride^p²⁰

Age: 6| Weight: 8-9| J: Laura Coughlan⁽⁵⁾| T: R A Teal| OR: 75| CD

4/1

5-time C&D winner who arrives on back of promising sixth of 11 in handicap over C&D 20 days ago, left poorly placed. Merits serious consideration off an unchanged mark.

Form: 73-5866

(7)

Puerto De Vega^t²⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 8-8| J: Marco Ghiani| T: S C Williams| OR: 74| CD

2/1

4/1, career best when winning 5-runner handicap at this C&D (AW) 27 days ago by neck from Impeach. Up 2 lb but much respected.

Form: 5/4103-1

Forecasts

Puerto De Vega (2/1), Swiss Pride (4/1), Impeach (11/2), Firepower (7/1), Night On Earth (9/1), Jack's Point (10/1), Count Otto (14/1), Twilight Heir (14/1)

Multiple C&D scorer SWISS PRIDE signalled he's ready to go in again when a promising sixth here last time so gets the vote in an open handicap. Fellow C&D winner Impeach is sure to have a say though, while Count Otto is also weighted to make his mark if resurgent with blinkers refitted.
