Bumper winner last term and opened hurdles account in 2½m Fakenham maiden on return in October. Creditable third on handicap bow next time but was disappointing last time. Hooded back in a novice.

Needed experience when sixth in his bumper but offered a lot more when fourth on hurdles bow here (16.5f) a month ago. Step up in trip sure to suit.

Third here easily the pick of his 3 bumper runs and showed a bit sent hurdling after 11 weeks off in C&D event in December. Could never a blow back here 17 days ago.

£42,000 3-y-o, Fame And Glory gelding who got away with the test of speed when taking a 15f bumper on debut in November. Promising hurdles debut when second a month later (19.8f).

Failed to win on the level for David O'Meara but a half-brother to the classy hurdler Metier and he looked useful when making perfect start at Ascot 17 days ago. Very much the one to beat.

Forecasts

Doctor Parnassus (4/11), Norton Hill (10/3), Italian Spirit (13/2), Could Talkaboutit (18/1), Rebel Intentions (50/1), Here Hare Here (50/1), Phoenix Risen (100/1), Paudie (125/1), Maskia (150/1), Pol Ma Cree (200/1)

Verdict

DOCTOR PARNASSUS could take pretty high rank in the juvenile division judged on his display at Ascot, and in receipt of weight from his elders, he will take some stopping. Norton Hill and Italian Spirit look to be the pick of the opposition.
