Below form seventh of 18 in handicap at Newbury (7f, heavy, 33/1) 21 days ago, faring best of those ridden prominently. Type to bounce back quickly, so worth considering with Kirby on board.

4-time course winner. Eighth of 12 in handicap (25/1) at Salisbury (6f, good to firm). Off 16 months. Hard to know how much ability he retains, and has a wide draw to contend with.

Didn't need to be at best when winning 8-runner claimer (5/6) at this course (6f) 16 days ago. Returns to handicaps on a good mark, so warrants plenty of respect.

Forecasts

Rogue Force (3/1), Ooh Is It (3/1), Knowwhentorun (7/2), Love Dreams (4/1), Equitation (13/2), Rovaniemi (8/1), Bolly Bullet (10/1), Lockdown (12/1), Album (25/1), The Cola Kid (25/1), Follow Your Heart (33/1), Bakr (40/1), Little Palaver (50/1), Moosmee (50/1)

Verdict

LOVE DREAMS was in good form before he did too much too soon at Newbury last time so, back down in grade over a C&D that suits him well, he's fancied to put up a bold showing in a race where the majority are struggling for form. Equitation is a danger on the back of his recent claiming win, while Ooh Is It could take a hand if he gets the longer trip.

  1. LOVE DREAMS (IRE)
  2. EQUITATION
  3. OOH IS IT
