Fair form 9/2, fifth of 11 in maiden at Bath (5f, good to firm) 13 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Likely to improve.
Better with each start, meeting a bit of trouble and finishing with running left when 3 lengths fourth of 11 at Beverley (5f, good to firm) 20 days ago. Likely improver in nurseries.
Some promise when placed first 2 starts but disappointed when a short-priced favourite for a Beverley maiden 3 weeks ago. Bounce back needed now handicapping.
Left first 3 runs behind when making a winning nursery debut at Musselburgh (5f, good to firm, 4/1) 32 days ago. Did that fairly comfortably so even a 7 lb rise isn't too severe. Should go well.
Placed in first 2 nurseries (third to Shamlaan latterly) but needs to bounce back from a poor run latest.
Thrice-raced maiden. 6/1, eighth of 9 in novice at Pontefract (6f, good) 72 days ago. Makes handicap debut. Others more obvious.
Yet to progress from debut run but she does possess a fair bit of speed and may come into her own now handicapping.
Promise when fourth at Beverley on first 2 starts. Well held at Pontefract latest but it's possible she'll bounce back now handicapping after a short break.
Modest form. Seventh of 10 in nursery (14/1) at Carlisle (5f, good to firm) 14 days ago. Hooded first time. One of 2 from the stable.
Has speed but seemed to rather overdo things when fading into fourth at Musselburgh last week. David Allan partnered her at Musselburgh but is on the yard's Gnat Alley this time.

Forecasts
Gnat Alley (3/1), Shamlaan (7/2), Mereside Angel (13/2), Cotai Grey (15/2), Mystic Moonshadow (10/1), Ayling (11/1), Qwicken (11/1), Jen's Gift (12/1), Tinkerstar (14/1), Wondrous Things (16/1)
MERESIDE ANGEL has caught the eye in his qualifying runs and gets the nod to make a winning start in nurseries for the David Barron team. Shamlaan had a bit up his sleeve when scoring on his Musselburgh nursery debut so he's feared most. Gnat Alley and Jen's Gift also rate possible improvers now moving into handicap company for the first time.
