Irish challenger is still to win over fences but he arrives in good nick, second of 8 in 2m handicap at Perth 8 days ago. Enters calculations again despite 5 lb rise.
Fairly useful hurdler/chaser in France but yet to score for current connections and not at his best in 2m Uttoxeter handicap on latest run in this sphere earlier in the month. Cheekpieces go on now.
Scored at Southwell last summer and he shaped encouragingly after 8 months off when fading sixth of 8 in 2m handicap there 6 days ago. Visor back on now and well worth considering off a handy mark.
Lightly-raced Irish chaser who arrives in good form, fourth of 10 in hunter chase at Down Royal (23.2f) 55 days ago when making his effort earlier than ideal. Much respected now going into handicaps.
Placed all 3 starts in 2m1f handicap chases last summer but he ran poorly after 8 months off when pulled up in 3m Southwell handicap last month. Needs to bounce back.
Unreliable hurdler/chaser who was pulled up over C&D when last seen on the track 10 months ago. Others are more persuasive.
Ended lengthy losing run with game victory in 2m4f Perth handicap hurdle 8 days ago. C&D winner too so he's not taken lightly returned to this sphere.
Opened his account over fences in impressive style at Sedgefield (2m) in May before good third off 11 lb higher mark at Uttoxeter 24 days ago. Ought to be competitive again eased 2 lb now.
C&D winner who recorded another good effort here when third of 8 in handicap 25 days ago. Veteran is one for the shortlist off a reduced mark.

Forecasts
Sword Of Fate (2/1), Schmidt (4/1), Cool Country (6/1), Dento Des Obeaux (8/1), My Renaissance (8/1), Cawthorne (17/2), Zuckerberg (12/1), Beautiful Ben (14/1), Roxyfet (66/1)
A few with chances but BEAUTIFUL BEN signalled he's ready to strike again when a promising sixth at Southwell last week on his return from a break and he gets the verdict. Cawthorne is much less exposed and has taken well to fences so rates a big threat, with in-form Irish maiden chaser Schmidt another who seems sure to have a say in a competitive handicap.

- CAWTHORNE
- SCHMIDT (IRE)
