Improved when opening her account on turf debut at Goodwood (1¼m, good) last month. Performed as well as could have been expected in listed company next time and she's in with an each-way shout.

Confirmed debut promise when landing a 7.5f Lingfield novice in September. Not disgraced in listed company on final 2-y-o start, but reappearance/handicap debut effort at Wolverhampton lacked spark.

Shaped as though in need of the run on return/handicap bow at Salisbury and subsequently opened her account in 7f Newbury novice (good to soft). More on her plate back in handicap company.

AW winner in December and improved when edged out by a race-fit rival on return/handicap bow at Haydock (1m, heavy). Further progress likely and will be a threat if coping with faster ground here.

Off the mark in 7f Kempton maiden on second of her 2 starts in November. Bath reappearance effort was fair, but made little impact on subsequent handicap debut at Newmarket.

Improved when winning twice on the AW earlier this year, but turf debut effort at Nottingham (10.2f, soft) was poor, for all that she was probably unsuited by conditions.

Gained breakthrough success at Lingfield (7f, AW) in April and went close in a Chelmsford handicap last week. However, sandwiched between those efforts were 2 low-key displays on turf. Visor applied.

Decisive winner of 1m Redcar handicap on return in April and found just one too good at Ripon next time. Best to draw a line through her last run and she's high on the shortlist.

Forecasts

Hoodwinker (5/2), Achelois (11/4), Celestial Queen (4/1), Fairy Cakes (9/2), Sayifyouwill (10/1), Little Rollright (22/1), Sharla (33/1), Swallowdale (40/1)

Verdict

There should be better to come from CELESTIAL QUEEN, who has shown immediate improvement switched to handicaps this year and a line can be drawn through her recent Leicester run (jockey sustained an injury leaving the stalls and subsequently pulled up). The drying ground will be in her favour and she gets the nod ahead of Hoodwinker, who also possesses potential. Fairy Cakes is best of the rest.

  1. CELESTIAL QUEEN
  2. HOODWINKER
  3. FAIRY CAKES
