Evens, won 12-runner maiden at Lingfield (7f, AW) on debut last June, well on top finish. Good pedigree and there should be better to come from him. Gelded.

Won 14-runner minor event at Newbury (7f, good, 11/1) in September. There should be more races to be won with him, but he's up against some promising types and likely-looking newcomers here.

Half-brother to 2-y-o 7.4f/1m winner World Title. Yard's newcomers usually come on for a run and the market will be instructive.

Twice-raced maiden. 5/6, second of 8 in maiden at Wolverhampton (7.2f) 16 days ago, conceding first run. Remains open to improvement and ought to pick up a race sooner rather than later.

Forecasts

Bilhayl (1/1), Ransom (5/2), Ibiza Rocks (7/1), Torrkee (10/1), Ranchero (12/1), Resumption (28/1), Big Dream (33/1), Mustazeed (100/1), Big Little Lie (200/1), Fury (200/1), Cativo Ragazzo (250/1), Wirraway (250/1)

Verdict

It could be a case of third time lucky for TORRKEE, who built on the promise of his 2-y-o debut when going close on return at Wolverhampton where he conceded first run. Ransom was pretty impressive on his belated debut last summer, but he has plenty of weight on his back and bigger threats may be posed by likely-looking newcomers Resumption, Bilhayl and Ranchero (in that order of preference).

  1. TORRKEE (FR)
  2. RESUMPTION
  3. BILHAYL (IRE)
