Smart performer. Latest win at Chelmsford in September. Creditable third of 8 in handicap at Lingfield (1m, AW) when last seen in November. Possibly vulnerable under top weight.
Lightly raced in recent years but showed he still retains a smart level of ability when winning 10-runner handicap at Kempton (1m) 38 days ago. Ought to remain competitive off 5 lb higher.
Smart at his best in Italy. Has posted a good in-frame efforts for new stable this year and the booking of Ryan Moore catches the eye. Respected even though outside stall could make life awkward.
6f winner on only previous visit here. 11/2, respectable fourth of 9 in handicap at Haydock (1m) when last seen in September. Not obviously well treated from a mark in mid-90s.
Recorded a very useful effort when second of 11 in strong Newmarket handicap when last seen in July. Big player if primed for this return (gone well fresh before).
In fine form with pair of 1m turf wins at the end of last summer. Not so good at York on final start and will need a career best to overcome this mark on return. Acts on tapeta.
Won this race on 2019 reappearance. That was his last success but he showed he retains his ability when fourth at Kempton last autumn and he's 4 lb lower than 2 years ago.
Respectable sixth of 14 in handicap (22/1) at Doncaster (10.2f, good) when last seen in September. Makes tapeta debut. First run for yard after leaving Martyn Meade. Others more obvious.
All 3 wins for this yard have come over 7f on Newcastle's tapeta, including 2 last month. Clearly at the top of his game but stamina isn't assured over the longest trip he's tackled.
Useful in Ireland for Aidan Fogarty, ending his time there with good third of 16 at Galway in August. Interesting contender on this yard/AW debut.
Good second at Kempton (1m) in September but ended 2020 with 2 below-par efforts at Chelmsford. Makes tapeta debut on reappearance.
Useful AW performer over the years and creditable fifth in this 12 months ago. Ended 2020 on a low note but is competitively handicapped if bouncing back to form after 5 months off.
Respectable efforts this year but winless since 2019 and bit of a surprise if he snaps that losing run in a race as competitive as this.

MAN OF THE NIGHT was second in a strong 3-y-o handicap at Newmarket's July meeting when last seen and is selected to make light of his absence. Mission Boy has made a promising start for Marco Botti in recent months and will be a threat if Ryan Moore can get him into a decent position from the outside stall. Irish-import On A Session is also of interest on first run for David Barron.
