Fairly useful form over fences, again shaping like a thorough stayer when third at Wetherby on reappearance 37 days ago. Could pull out more at this trip, so warrants consideration.
Promising novice hurdler during 2016/17 campaign and, although yet to match that in two runs over fences, he might well come on for his latest effort at Newbury. Not totally dismissed.
Went backwards from chasing debut last season and wasn't on his game over hurdles at Ludlow a couple of months ago. Others make more appeal.
Maiden winner over hurdles and better than ever on the back of a wind operation when landing handicap chase at Fontwell in August. Hasn't gone on from that, however.
Fairly useful hurdler/chaser who belatedly gained first success over fences in emphatic style at Uttoxeter 24 days ago. 11-lb rise doesn't look overly harsh if that effort was as good as it seemed.
Winning pointer. Generally progressive over hurdles and plenty of encouragement when third at Southwell on his first go over fences. Should build on that, so makes plenty of appeal.
Dual hurdles winner who has yet to get his head in front over fences but has been performing with credit so far this term, so expected to give another good account.
Best effort as a novice hurdler when third in 3m handicap at Haydock in December. Safely held on return/chase debut at Lingfield, but should come on for that and sports first-time cheekpieces here.
Returned to form when third of 9 in handicap chase at Uttoxeter (22.5f, heavy) 34 days ago and dropped 1 lb since. Respected.
Back-to-back handicap hurdle winner last winter and creditable placed efforts on first 2 starts over fences. Has lost form since, though.
Off the mark under Rules on return to action at Hexham (3m) in October and not disgraced next time. Unreliable on the whole, though, and latest effort at Newcastle was quite tame.

Forecasts
Shanty Alley (11/4), Big Nasty (11/2), Whatsdastory (6/1), Garrane (8/1), Monkey Puzzle (10/1), Grand Turina (10/1), Donnie Brasco (10/1), Lygon Rock (11/1), Minella Bobo (14/1), Post War (16/1), Buster Edwards (18/1), Speak Of The Devil (20/1)
BIG NASTY arrives on the back of a positive reappearance and has long since promised to be suited by further than 3m, so a chance is taken on him now up in trip. Shanty Valley is respected on the back of his authoritative Uttoxeter success and the lightly-raced Whatsdastory warrants a mention given she has the scope for better as a chaser.
