Unreliable type. Creditable fourth of 11 in handicap (8/1) at Catterick (6f, heavy) 17 days ago, never nearer. Likely to find one or two too good once more.

Three wins from 7 runs this year. Didn't need to improve to win 8-runner claimer (11/8) at Leicester (7f, heavy) 8 days ago, staying on well. More needed under a penalty back in handicap company.

Good ¾-length third of 14 to Bobby Shaft in handicap (16/1) at Doncaster (7f, soft) 10 days ago. Reproduction of that effort would put him firmly in the picture.

Forecasts

Jump The Gun (7/2), Song of The Isles (9/2), Bobby Shaft (9/2), Entrancing (13/2), Never In Paris (7/1), Ugo Gregory (15/2), Sassoon (12/1), Danielsflyer (12/1), Mr Top Hat (12/1), Twin Appeal (16/1), Upstaging (20/1), Mr Orange (20/1), Fantasy Keeper (25/1), Kendergarten Kop (28/1), Dark Defender (33/1), Eligible (66/1)

Verdict

The vote goes to ENTRANCING, who responded well to the first-time visor when fourth at York last month and again has conditions in her favour. Danielsflyer is second choice in the hope that he is able to bounce back from a below-par run at Ayr, while Jump The Gun returned to form when third behind Bobby Shaft and Ugo Gregory at Doncaster and may reverse those placings this time.
