Modest 14f maiden on Flat for Richard Hughes who was given a considerate introduction to hurdling when 13½ lengths fifth of 10 in Wincanton maiden (15.3f) 2 weeks ago.
Showed plenty when runner-up in a brace of French bumpers in 2019 and well worth a market check now going hurdling up in trip for a good yard.
Showed fairly useful form over hurdles in 2017/18, making the frame on several occasions, but his lengthy absence is an obvious concern. Perhaps the market will help.
Fair maiden on Flat in France (stays 1½m) who is a half-brother to fairly useful hurdler Icario. L left H-A. Pantall for €14,000 in July 2019 and market can guide now hurdling for new handler.
Brother to fairly useful hurdler Midnight Midge. Better signs in a pair of course novices for new stable but handicaps likely to be more his bag.
Useful on Flat in Ireland, stays 13f, ran up to best last time. Sold from A. Slattery 150,000 gns. Has been gelded/had wind operation and very much one to note on hurdle debut for good stable.
Showed fair form in bumpers, well-held third to a good prospect at Wincanton final outing and should make a jumper. Has had a wind operation since last seen.
Remains a maiden after 18 hurdle runs and only eighth of 12 in handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter (23.3f, good) 50 days ago. Down in trip.
Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler/chaser Red Devil Star. Did some good late work after looking in need of the experience on Uttoxeter hurdle debut (15.8f) 13 days ago and should improve.
Well held in an Exeter bumper in 2017/18 for Jess Westwood. Sole finisher only outing in points (Apr 2019) subsequently, so makes very little appeal.
Not badly bred but offered little on belated hurdle debut at Exeter 3 weeks ago.
Modest form at best in bumpers but showed nothing starting out for this yard after 16 months off here (16.8f) 18 days ago. Hood added for this switch to hurdling.
Well held in bumpers, including for new yard at Uttoxeter in July, so makes little appeal now hurdling.

Forecasts
Metier (9/4), Oneupmanship (11/4), Gold Link (9/2), Hatchet Jack (6/1), Istorius (8/1), Majestic Merlin (11/1), Wavering Down (14/1), Antidote (33/1), Tarrona (50/1), Willies Dream (150/1), Fs Lola (200/1), Sinistry (200/1), Dr Jane (300/1)
This doesn't look the strongest of novices so it could be a good opportunity for useful Flat recruit METIER to make a winning start in this sphere. Oneupmanship and Gold Link have both shown ability in bumpers and require a second look now going hurdling.
