Won at Windsor (5f) in July. Solid efforts since, not least when third in the Portland at Doncaster 18 days ago. Extra yardage here will suit and he's one for the shortlist under top claimer.

Winless since the restart but she ran respectably again in the Portland 18 days ago. More needed.

Won at Ripon in July but he's beaten just one home in Great St Wilfrid Handicap there/Ayr Silver Cup the last twice. Cheekpieces replace visor. Fair bit to prove now.

Has won at Pontefract and Beverley this year. Not best placed in the Portland 18 days ago though likely struggled anyway in such a competitive contest. This not much easier.

Has done well this year and was value for extra when easily landing 6f Lingfield handicap 16 days ago. Back up in class after 6 lb rise and worthy of respect.

C&D winner who pushed Summerghand close at Pontefract in July but hasn't reproduced that since in some top handicaps and losing run continues. Visor back on. Lowest mark for 6 years.

Won first 2 starts over 6f last summer but shaped as if amiss in nurseries after. First start for a year having been gelded. Plenty to prove.

Dual winner last year. Form patchy this time around but he's dropped to a workable mark.

Steady improver on AW over the winter, winning twice. Couple of good efforts back on turf this season and visor that lit him up last time quickly removed. This looks a shade too tough.

Improved when getting off the mark in 6f Windsor handicap 3 weeks ago, readily coming clear. Up 7 lb but that form looks decent enough and he could go well again.

Has improved fitted with blinkers of late, winning 6f Chepstow handicap and running well at Ascot/Haydock (finished with running left). Wouldn't rule out under in-form claimer.

Form typically patchy at a lower level this year and this looks tough after a heavy defeat here on Sunday when he nearly fell two furlongs in.

BIMBLE is the potential big improver here having caught the eye with the way she tanked through the race when second on her handicap debut at Salisbury 4 weeks ago. She'd previously won a Goodwood maiden impressively and more success is surely on the cards. Yimou, who was a fine third in the Portland, and Production, a big eye-catcher at Pontefract, are two of the main dangers.
