Useful operator in France who was picked up by new connections in July. Handicapper has taken no chances with opening mark, though.

Arrives in top form having been runner-up at Ripon the last twice. Latest effort boosted by the winner since and likely to give another good account.

Came good at the third time of asking when easily landing short odds at Lingfield (7.6f, good to firm) in August. Underwhelming on handicap debut at Kempton subsequently but not written off just yet.

Likeable sort who capitalised on his lower turf mark in good style at this course in July. Shaped as if still in good form next time and still fairly treated based on AW exploits.

Winner at Windsor in July and quickly resumed progress when runner-up from further back than ideal at Kempton last time. Solid claims with scope for further progress.

Fairly useful winner but her form has been up and down since the restart, last of 8 at York 35 days ago. Others make more appeal.

Off the mark at the third attempt at Windsor in June and back on track returned to 1m in a Newmarket handicap 28 days ago. May yet be more to come, so warrants consideration.

Promising sort who got off the mark at the third attempt at Chelmsford 15 days ago, getting up late having conceded first run. Excellent claims if he's as good on turf.

Promise on both starts, stepping up on his debut when fourth at Kempton last month despite still showing signs of inexperience. Makes handicap/turf debut. Very much unexposed.

C&D winner on heavy last summer. Better than result at Ripon on penultimate and probably found the race coming too soon 4 days later, so could get back on track from a lenient mark.

Made a winning debut at Lingfield in December and built on that at the second attempt when only just losing out in a 4-way photo at Doncaster. Pair of efforts since a shade disappointing, though.

Forecasts

Sea Trout Reach (9/4), Lord Neidin (6/1), Raaed (7/1), Taawfan (8/1), Hesslewood (17/2), Ajax Tavern (17/2), Super Den (12/1), Aweedram (12/1), Kaser (14/1), Al Rasmah (16/1), Mikmak (22/1), Sagauteur (33/1), The Rain King (125/1)

Verdict

SUPER DEN kept on nicely to finish fourth in what's proved a strong race at Kempton last time and it could well be that an opening mark of 80 underestimates this unexposed gelding, so he gets the nod in a competitive affair. Fellow 3-y-os Lord Neidin and Taawfan are others to consider and the bang-in-form Hesslewood can't be ignored.

  1. SUPER DEN
  2. HESSLEWOOD (IRE)
  3. LORD NEIDIN
